Seeing her standing there in a daze, Joseph Thompson approached her and said, "There's a bathroom in every room upstairs. You can use the guest room's. Mine doesn't have an external connection."

Jaylene let out a long sigh of relief. After she saw Joseph heading upstairs, she hesitated for a moment before following him.

By the time Jaylene slowly made her way upstairs, Joseph had already opened the door to the innermost room, and in his hand, he held an article of clothing which he was passing to her.

"We don't have any women's clothes here. Yours are soaked through. Make do with mine for now."

Jaylene looked out through the corridor window and saw that the sound of the rain outside was getting louder and louder. A chill blew in through the window, and she couldn't help but shiver.

Even the guest room was spacious. Jaylene put the clothes Joseph handed to her on the tatami and closed the door, locking it casually.
