Chapitre 460: Warm Atmosphere

"Without a doubt, she's a rare loyal subject... No wonder Gilgamesh trusts her so much."

Morgan remarked as she watched Siduri's retreating figure with admiration.

After Siduri's figure disappeared, Morgan turned to Arkhan and asked curiously.

"But why didn't you mention this matter in the throne room just now? Why ask Siduri to convey it for you?"

Arkhan shook his head.

"Gilgamesh is a proud king. Saying it directly to his face like that would hurt his pride and might not yield good results. With Siduri as a mediator, he might be less resistant."

"Truly worthy of Your Majesty, considering every aspect of his conduct!" Merlin chimed in, offering his praise generously.

Now, Arkhan was the only one who could keep him from being banished to Avalon by Morgan. He didn't want to end up there, where the food was bad and there weren't as many interesting things as in the world of humans.

"Why are you still here?" Arkhan asked flatly as he glanced at Merlin.

"Huh?" Merlin was stunned. 'What did he mean? Is he trying to get rid of me? Oh crap, is he getting tired of me? If that's the case, my only support will be gone!'

Just as he was considering whether kneeling down and clinging to Arkhan's legs would still work, he heard Arkhan continue his words.

"Don't forget I summoned you here for a reason. Tiamat is about to appear. Do you have time to relax here?"

Upon hearing that, Merlin breathed a sigh of relief, realizing it was about work again.

"Relax, I'll get the job done!" Merlin smiled, patting his chest confidently.

Without delay, he turned into countless flower petals, fluttering through the air and disappearing from the spot.

He knew this was his last chance.

Whether he could regain his king's trust now depended on this task!

"Ugh, that scoundrel..."

Morgan muttered, unable to figure out what Merlin was really up to. If it weren't for making amends, there was no way he would be this diligent.

However, if he could actually pull off his task smoothly, maybe she could consider cutting him some slack.

Being turned into stone all over was one thing, but just the lower half would do.

Seeing the satisfaction on Morgan's face, Arkhan suddenly felt a shiver down his spine. He sensed something eerie, a reminder that she was definitely contemplating something ominous. Nevertheless, as he recalled she was dealing with Merlin, his heart immediately calmed down.

That dick wizard, whose only talent besides eating, drinking, whoring, and gambling was causing trouble, didn't deserve any sympathy.

Later on, under Siduri's arrangement, with a priestess leading the way, Arkhan and Morgan arrived at their residence, a plain two-story earthen building with minimal furnishings.

It lacked the opulence of the grand castles they were used to, but Morgan surprisingly found herself liking it.

"I've always thought, someday when we're both free, we could find a quiet spot in the countryside and build a little house like this. Work from dawn till dusk, live each day simply but meaningfully..." Morgan remarked, running her hand over the rough earthen wall, her expression softening.

Arkhan's gaze lingered on the light gray strands of hair cascading down Morgan's back, his expression turning slightly complicated.

Even though she never complained, he could imagine the hardships she must have endured over the past decade or so. After all, the vast and formidable magical energy she released earlier couldn't have come from nowhere.

"Surely that day will come."

Arkhan stepped forward, placing his hand on Morgan's shoulder, his expression serious.

"As long as we succeed in saving Uruk this time, I can fulfill my objective, and then, I can finally go home."

"Really?" Morgan's eyes lit up.

"You know, I never lie." Arkhan smiled.

"In that case, I better step up my game!" Morgan clenched her fist like a protective beast, fiercely declaring. "Whether it's monsters or goddesses, anyone who dares stand in the way of my brother coming home, I'll fight them with all I've got!"

"Oh! Queen Morgan's might knows no bounds!" Arkhan followed with flattery, grinning from ear to ear.

"Look at you!" Morgan shot him a sideways glance before pushing him out of the building. "Alright, Mister, it's time to work, so please leave, and don't forget to buy some foodstuffs on your way back since the kitchen here is so empty it could attract mice."

*Thud*

Watching the closed door before him, Arkhan shook his head, a wistful smile playing on his lips, feeling a warm current flowing in his heart.

He cherished this warm atmosphere of being with his family, and it was for this purpose that he had persevered until now.

Needless to say, no matter who it was, no one could stop him from going home!

In the evening, Morgan fell silent as she looked at the pile of meats, vegetables, and fruits in front of her, which had formed a small mountain.

A moment later, she turned to Arkhan beside her with a speechless expression.

"Are you planning to settle down here for good?" Morgan asked.

"Uhh, it's just... you know, getting used to it?" Arkhan replied awkwardly, turning his head away slightly.

He had instinctively bought cooking ingredients in quantities matching Artoria's appetite. If it weren't for Gilgamesh covering the expenses, he might have been able to buy a little more.

"It's okay, I have a big appetite, I promise I can eat all of these things, absolutely no waste of food!" Arkhan added.

It was true.

Like Artoria, Arkhan also possessed a dragon heart.

However, Arkhan could consciously control his dragon heart, unlike Artoria, who needed food to frequently replenish the energy consumed by her uncontrollable dragon heart.

"At least try to understand me... With so many ingredients, how much time is needed to cook them?"

Morgan sighed, deciding to put away the cooking ingredients and use magecraft to preserve them, then went to prepare dinner.

Arkhan sat on a chair, surveying the surroundings.

Compared to before, the room was undoubtedly much more refined. Not only had the furniture been changed and supplemented, but the rough earthen walls had also become as smooth as mirrors, with many intricate patterns engraved on them.

Clearly, these patterns weren't just for decoration, as he could sense magical energy emanating from them.

"Did you transform this place into a Workshop?" Arkhan asked curiously.

"Yeah..." Morgan replied, carrying a steaming tray of dishes over. "Well, it's only natural to create an environment that benefits oneself, right? It's a basic skill for a Caster."

Looking at the exquisite dishes in front of him, Arkhan pondered for a moment before asking another question.

"Say... can you transform the entire Uruk into your territory?"

Upon hearing that, Morgan paused slightly in her movements, her eyes meeting Arkhan's.

"You mean... a Temple-level territory?"

"Yeah." Arkhan nodded.

'Temple' was the highest form of 'Territory Creation' above Workshop, a special territory that was advantageous to oneself as a Caster, usually only constructed by beings close to the level of gods.

"Well... it's not impossible..." Morgan said while pondering as she sat down opposite Arkhan. "But I've noticed that there's already another territory in this city, which should be the guardian god of this city. Doing so might provoke the hostility of this god."

"You don't need to worry about that..." Arkhan said with a meaningful smile. "I assure you, this god will have no objections to it."
