*Buzzz—!!!*

Just as the dragon breath was about to hit her, a small black-red sphere suddenly emerged from the void, landing on her head. It expanded into a barrier, which blocked the dragon breath.

A man in silver armor, with a handsome face and black hair, suddenly appeared in front of Nidhogg. His profound black eyes coldly stared at the white dragon.

"Arkhan!"

"Teacher!"

Scathach and Artoria exclaimed simultaneously, their eyes filled with obvious joy.

They could both see that the figure suspended high in the sky was no longer the mere ethereal and ghostly form from before; it was undeniably Arkhan in the flesh!

But how did he manage to break free?

Seemingly having a realization, Artoria turned to Merlin.

"How's things in East Anglia?"

"Ten minutes ago, Bedivere and the others successfully captured East Anglia." Merlin responded while still maintaining his magecraft to delay the expansion of Vortigern's domain.

"Just as expected..." Artoria murmured under her breath, then looked up at Arkhan in the sky again.

Previously, she couldn't fathom why her teacher insisted they take East Anglia, but now it seemed closely tied to his return.

Though she wasn't entirely clear on the underlying connection, Artoria felt genuine joy welling up within her.

In the skies above, Arkhan turned his head to look at Nidhogg behind him.

"Sorry for being late. Just leave the rest to me."

Nidhogg, with a hint of gentleness in her black dragon eyes, nodded lightly, flapped her wings, and descended to the ground.

Like Artoria and Scathach, her magical energy had nearly depleted, and staying here had no meaning.

Vortigern, as if under a petrification spell, hovered in place, staring at the black-haired man in the distance, intense shock reflecting in his golden dragon eyes.

'How could this be happening?! Wasn't he banished to another dimension?! I even placed a seal on it using the last remnants of the Holy Grail's power. Even the most adept space mage couldn't break the seal and bring him back! What on earth was going on?!' Vortigern couldn't help but scream inside his mind.

"Looks like you're quite surprised, huh?"

Arkhan turned to glance at Vortigern's dragon body that stretched nearly two thousand meters. His majestic figure loomed in the sky like an aircraft carrier, with a single scale larger than Arkhan himself, exuding a profound sense of oppression.

Compared to Vortigern, Arkhan appeared tiny, akin to an ant. Nevertheless, he remained calm with arms crossed.

"Do you really think that shitty trap could hold me forever?"

'Obviously! No one who entered that place ever escaped!'

Although Vortigern wanted to retort like that, having lost his human form, he could no longer communicate like a regular person.

'Impossible! He couldn't possibly escape; it must be some illusion of that bastard Merlin!'

Vortigern's gaze flickered as he thought like that, denying reality.

*ROAAARRR—!!!*

Suddenly, Vortigern roared to the sky, and dark clouds gathered. Thunderbolts, as thick as arms, struck down with a deafening crash. Silver-white lightning filled the air, resembling an apocalypse.

Arkhan beckoned, and the Star of Eden sped toward him, forming a black and red barrier that deflected the descending lightning.

Vortigern's heart sank. Though just a minor test, it undeniably proved that the one before him was indeed his nephew.

'But even if you manage to escape, it's too late! I'm a genuine god now! Let me show you my unstoppable power!'

*ROAAARRR—!!!*

Vortigern opened his ferocious dragon jaws, roaring at Arkhan. A vast and unstoppable force suddenly surged towards Arkhan, making him feel as if he carried an invisible burden.

"Tch, annoying..." Arkhan smirked. "Well then, I can't afford to hold back either."

In an instant, he unleashed the Black Dragon Body, ominous black bone wings bursting from his back. Surging magical energy flowed through his veins like a river. Dark tattoos covered his body, emitting an aura of death.

Arkhan clenched his fingers, almost like claws, producing a crisp sound.

"The original owner of this power once brought the twilight of the gods, Ragnarok, leading the Age of Gods to its end. Now, I'll use it against you, the last god. Quite fitting, isn't it?"

Hearing that, a cold glint flashed in Vortigern's golden dragon eyes. His wings fluttered, showcasing agility completely incongruent with his colossal body. He instantly appeared before Arkhan, giant claws ready to seize him.

With his current strength, crushing Arkhan was as easy as squashing an ant!

However, the anticipated scene of blood and flesh didn't unfold. Instead, Vortigern felt an intense, stabbing pain.

Quickly retracting his claw and saw a long black scar, surrounded by a potent power of death.

Looking closer, Arkhan held a black spear, its dark shaft gleaming with an eerie luster, evoking a sensation of staring into the abyss.

"Even if you've become a god, you don't seem to have improved much, old man."

Arkhan, holding Black Abyss, suddenly flashed like lightning under the belly of Vortigern, leaving a hundred-meter-long black scar.

*ROOOAAARRR—!!!*

Intense pain swallowed what little reason remained in Vortigern. His cold vertical pupils were covered with a thick layer of blood, and his massive tail swung violently, creating a piercing wind as if a colossal pillar was about to smash down on Arkhan.

Arkhan activated Primordial Rune, instantly disappearing from where he stood, evading a hundred meters away from Vortigern's tail attack.

However, at this moment, his head was suddenly covered by a shadow, and a giant mouth descended from the sky, swallowing him in one gulp.

Vortigern chewed twice, suddenly feeling something was off.

There was nothing in his mouth!

Suddenly, he saw a familiar crimson feather falling in front of his eyes, followed by a mocking voice from above.

"Falling into the same pit twice, you're worse than a donkey, eh?"

Arkhan teased, lifted Black Abyss, and thrust it fiercely into Vortigern's head. The nearly two-meter-long spear shaft almost entirely entered his dragon head.

*ROAAARRR—!!!*

Vortigern roared madly, lifting his giant claw to smack his own head. Arkhan's figure flashed, disappearing once again from the original spot.

Black Abyss stuck in Vortigern's head released a frenzied power of death. Without hesitation, Vortigern raised his dragon claw and severed his own head, committing suicide.
