A Sham

Silver's heart hammered in her chest as she stared at Nathaniel in confusion with knitted brows.

'What did I do?' She thought.

"What do you mean? " She asked, slightly irritated by Nathaniel's sudden temper tantrum.

He was always throwing his weight around like it was his divine right and frankly, she was sick of it!

Nathaniel gestured at the phone that Silver dodged a minute ago on the floor and yelled, "Pick it up and see for yourself!"

Silver picked up the phone with a huff wondering what she did that riled him up so much however her heart dropped when she saw the original picture of the design she stole from Rebecca on the broken screen.

'No, No, No. This isn't happening!'

"Care to explain that? Why are your latest design releases remarkably similar to Rebecca's?" Nathaniel spat angrily.

At his question, panic struck and Silver stared at Nathaniel wide-eyed, stammering, and unable to form a coherent sentence.
