Rachel's POV

The drive was spent in comfortable silence as our vehicle zoomed down the road while night settled in, lights from buildings, billboards, and streetpoles adding a beauty to the environment.

For some reason I found my state fixated on his wide palm spread out on my left thigh as he drove with one hand. His hold creating a mushy and warm feeling as heat spread from his fingers to my legs from the contact.

We approached a corner and his palm left my thigh as he slowed down the vehicle and needed both hands to steer the car in the right path.

I was seconds away from pouting as my thigh felt cold and I missed the contact when his fingers returned, creating a ready smile I couldn't control on my lips.

The sight felt comforting and affectionate as it was evidence of his presence. At this point I couldn't resist the idea that kept popping into my head anymore and quickly unlocked my phone.
