"Ooh you're awake," my mum says smiling and I know from that look on her face, there's surely a series of questions that are about to follow. Questions that I don't think I'm ready to answer. Or are they questions that I have no answers to.
"Good morning mum," I say reluctantly, reaching out for the diary in her hand. I'm hoping I opened my eyes just before she could read anything.
She pulls back her hand, preventing me from catching the diary. I exhale loudly.
"Mum please, that's private."
She raises her perfectly shaped brows. "Private?" She asks.
"Yeah you know. Private. The word that means not everyone is supposed to have access to. Or should I say personal?" I respond, gesturing my hand for her to give me back the diary.
"Not even your mother?" she widens her eyes and then narrows them immediately switching her gaze towards the diary.
