Thistle, Eadwulf, and Allura curiously gazed at each other; Thistle abruptly turned away remembering something while her back faced the chairman of the academy and his disciple, as she readjusted her clothes and hair before turning back to face them; in the meantime, Allura wiped away her tears, crushed and swallowed the candy in her mouth, and stood a step behind Eadwulf as if nothing had happened, forgetting her puffy eyelids and her muffled hiccups.
