Chapitre 589: Foiled Escape

The battlefield was silent. The only thing that could be heard was the beating of countless hearts and the heavy breathing that even threatened to stir the winds. 

The two wraiths that had been spared the massacre were both as powerful as Supreme Celestials but they now stood there on the battlefield, surrounded by human corpses, Brittany they did not care to make a move.

From the sky, they could still sense the terrible power coming from the Sword Rain Daoist. 

His gaze was fixed on them and any sudden movement could trigger another rain of swords that was sure to kill them. Since this was the case, the two wraiths decided to stay as still as corpses and hoped that they would go unnoticed. This childish behavior of theirs was noticed by the humans who were shocked to see such fearsome creatures behave as though they were kids less than ten. 

The Sword Rain Daoist had saved these wraiths for his own purposes and designs.
