"Killer!" The kid's expression turned fierce, and his face contorted into an extremely ugly expression. He hadn't even considered that his vice-captain, Killer, also one of the supernovas, could be kicked and seriously injured.
"Where are you looking?" A deep voice resonated in Kid's ears. He shuddered and looked up to see a tall man with short amaranth-red hair standing less than two meters away from him.
However, the man did nothing but stared at him coldly. "Where do you think this is?" Katakuri walked towards Kid with a grim expression, his Haki crackling like lightning flashing in his arm. He then said, "This is the battlefield!"
"When you want to snatch the treasure chest, you declare war on Father. At that time, you should be prepared for the battle, which is no different from seeking death!" Katakuri continued, "And what are you doing? Look around! Despising the war, underestimating the opponent will only lead to a life without a place to bury oneself! That's the war..." Katakuri almost shouted out.
His arm blasted out like lightning, and Kid's eyes shrank into needles. Despite his efforts, he couldn't see Katakuri's movements clearly. With a swift motion, Katakuri's arm grabbed Kid's neck.
As he exerted his strength, he lifted Kid up high. This time, Katakuri didn't speak but instead threw out his fists with a powerful punch. The tremendous strength exploded, causing the kid's eyes to widen, and blood to spurt from his mouth. His body ached, his head felt dizzy, and blood dripped from his mouth.
"Damn it!" Kid trembled from the intense pain, rendering him unable to say a word or think clearly. Tremblingly, he raised his arm, attempting to stop Katakuri, but Katakuri was faster.
"It's not the place for you to play!!!" His arm swung down quickly, pressing Kid's head to the ground like a sack.
As Katakuri calmly faced the approaching Drake, a cunning smile played on his lips. Unlike the impulsive nature of the original Alex, this version of the character was calculated and strategic.
Katakuri anticipated the attack, smoothly sidestepping Drake's sword and axe with a calculated precision. He moved like a shadow, always a step ahead of his adversaries. The Supernovas, witnessing Kid's defeat, hesitated for a moment but soon realized the need to coordinate their efforts.
In a split second, Katakuri assessed the situation, recognizing the threat from the group. "You're all dancing on thin ice," he remarked with a sly grin. His eyes gleamed with a calculated confidence that sent shivers down the spines of the other Supernovas.
As the group lunged towards him, Katakuri's movements became a dance of evasion and counterattacks. Each step and strike were part of a meticulous plan, a game of chess where he saw every move before it happened. The battlefield transformed into a strategic battleground, and Katakuri, the cunning tactician, orchestrated the chaos with a cold and calculating demeanor.
The clash of metal echoed through the air, accompanied by a dazzling display of sparks. Katakuri's arm, encased in the formidable Armament Haki, tightly gripped the sword in a show of raw power.
"You fool," Katakuri sneered, his gaze fixed on Drake. With a swift motion, his right foot lashed out like a whip, delivering a rapid and forceful kick that sent Drake hurtling backward.
Boom! The impact reverberated as Drake soared through the air like a cannonball, crashing violently upon hitting the ground. Like Kid before him, he spat out blood, bearing the brunt of severe injuries.
"They are quite the reckless bunch," remarked Marco, halting mid-air. Surveying the unfolding scene, he realized that Katakuri alone could easily overpower all these supernovas. The battle was turning into a one-sided spectacle.
The potential of these supernovas was undeniably strong, but unfortunately, it was two years before the anticipated time skip. They hadn't matured enough to face challenges like Katakuri, let alone someone with a bounty exceeding 1 billion.
Katakuri unleashed an onslaught, wreaking havoc on the reckless brats. Despite their valiant efforts to resist, the supernovas found themselves overwhelmed by Katakuri's relentless and merciless attacks. Ten minutes later, they lay on the ground, battered and seriously injured.
Their once-arrogant expressions were replaced with shock, a stark contrast to the confidence they had exuded throughout their journey. Since setting sail, they had navigated the seas smoothly, emerging victorious even against formidable foes. This streak of success had fueled their arrogance, which remained unshaken even upon entering the treacherous New World.
However, today marked a stark revelation – they were not enough. Katakuri served as a stern teacher, imparting a lesson that resonated through the battered bodies of the once overconfident supernovas. It was a humbling experience, unveiling the true strength that existed in the New World.
The self-proclaimed "worst generation" now lay defeated, realizing that in the presence of these seasoned warriors, they were nothing more than newcomers at the bottom of the chain in the unforgiving sea of the New World.
