"Prepare the boats!"
"Take the women and children to shelters!"
"Every master and warrior capable of fighting, report to the front line!"
"The enemy is in sight!"
"Everyone, be ready for battle! Tonight, the moon is on our side. Nothing will bring us down! We will triumph!"
"What should we do?"
The four teenagers faced Master Pakku, who turned away from them, his gaze fixed on the horizon. Gradually, they could see the ship silhouettes emerging on the sea's horizon as the sun set.
"We have the Avatar and the Orange Pillar on our side. The fact that they are children only makes me uncertain about what to say now," he murmured, glancing over his shoulder at the teens.
"What do you suggest? 'Let them fight'?" Naruto was ready for battle, not one to rely on elaborate plans.
Naruto considered himself a direct combatant. His strategy was simple: attack. In the end, his plan was to let himself and Aang engage in combat. After all, there were only a few ships to deal with.
"I trust you."
"Thank you, Master," the two teens in orange bowed to the waterbender, who left them to discuss the plan.
"I don't think they should go alone. It's too risky. We should wait for the enemy to engage with us on the ground. That way, we'll have more support," Katara objected, unwilling to let either of them face entire ships filled with Fire Nation soldiers alone.
"I'm not afraid to fight," Naruto was unafraid of confronting the entire fleet single-handedly. He saw himself as a 'one-man army,' capable of handling any number of soldiers.
"I'll go with them," Aang insisted. His duty was to combat the Fire Nation, and he refused to sit idly by.
"Wait!" Katara was unable to stop Aang from deploying his glider and taking off into the sky. Naruto, without hesitation, jumped onto the monk's back, and the two raced towards the approaching fleet. "Those kids."
"They're strong, Katara. I doubt they'll lose," Sokka assured her. Few could truly match an airbender like the Avatar, and with the sorcerer by his side, along with anyone else who might help, victory was almost certain. "We must be prepared for any of them landing. Let's go."
Reluctantly, Katara followed her older brother, hoping and praying that nothing would go wrong.
….
Aang and Naruto soared through the skies, drawing closer to their presumed enemies. However, they soon realized that their adversaries were more numerous than expected, which sent chills down their spines. The sight of hundreds of armored ships on the sea's horizon was disheartening.
"Do we have any plans?" inquired the monk, casting a questioning look at his friend. Naruto simply shrugged.
"Cover my back, and I'll cover yours. Attack anyone who isn't me, and let's try to stop those ships," Naruto replied, revealing his lack of strategic thinking.
"Attack without surrender?" the monk mumbled as they continued to fly over an area filled with ships, each potentially housing around 300 soldiers.
"Yes," Naruto responded with a fearful smile, taking a deep breath. "Ready to face an army?"
"I'm not, but does it matter now?"
"No, my bald friend."
Both wore confident smiles as the monk took a deep breath, propelling them higher into the night sky until they nearly disappeared into the darkness. The two left the glider behind and began their descent.
"I bet he can defeat more soldiers than you!"
"We'll see!"
Naruto formed his signature hand seals and let out a loud shout, enveloping himself in a layer of bluish chakra. The noise of countless explosions echoed through the air, drawing the attention of every Fire Nation soldier below. As they gazed upward, they saw the sky ablaze with orange and yellow lights.
The impact of Naruto's clones crashing onto the ships rocked the sea itself. The battleships were boarded by hundreds of clones.
For every ship, there were at least 20 clones, commencing their assault by attacking whatever was in their path.
"Enemy attack!"
"Man your stations!"
"Eliminate the intruders!"
The ship captains wasted no time, and alarm bells rang out loudly, alerting the entire crew. They rushed to confront the threat, first attempting to disable the long-range weapons.
The catapults and cannons fell victim to the clones and Aang, who either tossed them into the sea or shattered them.
The counterattack was immediate.
"Rasengan!" Naruto unleashed his powerful technique on the largest ship, causing an explosion that sent the few soldiers on deck flying and left a significant hole in the bow. If it sank the flagship, it might force the entire fleet to retreat.
The soldiers hesitated for a moment as the dust raised by the attack slowly cleared, revealing the silhouette of one of their nation's greatest threats: the Orange Pillar.
"Attack!" Over fifteen soldiers gathered, launching a simultaneous fiery assault on their target.
With a giant leap, the Orange Pillar evaded the fiery onslaught, producing a chain in a burst of smoke. Naruto rapidly flung the chain, ensnaring one of the soldiers and propelling himself towards them. With a powerful kick to the soldier's stomach, he sent them flying and used the chain to spin with great force, pummeling more soldiers left and right. Each blow was devastating enough to shatter armor and render the soldiers combat-ineffective with broken bones.
His relentless assault was interrupted when a firebender leaped from an upper deck, landing on his back, her arms wrapped around his neck and her legs secured around his torso.
"Burn it!" She was willing to be consumed by flames to fulfill her patriotic duty, fighting for her nation even at the cost of her own life.
Her comrades echoed her determination, launching torrents of fire at their target. A swirling tornado of flames enveloped Naruto, who remained clutched by the firebender, enduring the intense heat and flames.
The fiery maelstrom gradually contracted into a dense dome, with the concentrated flames of over thirty soldiers focused on a single point. The ship's metal hull glowed red hot, deforming from the searing heat.
"Did we do it?" wondered one of the many soldiers who cautiously approached the focal point of the attack, only to discover an empty, circular hole in the ground.
"This looks important."
The entire deck shook as the ship's engine abruptly exploded. A victorious Naruto emerged, shouldering the same soldier who had attacked him. Swiftly, he flung her toward the other soldiers who, upon catching her, were knocked down.
Gradually, the vessel began to sink as water poured in through the lower area where the engine had once been.
And Naruto's ship was not the only one facing disaster. On several other ships, explosions quickly followed, causing one-third of the fleet to start sinking. Soldiers were left with no choice but to swim to the remaining vessels.
"You are a cursed monster"
"You are a demon!"
"How can a brat be so strong?!"
"We must kill him! Now!"
