Chapter 48: The Little Bunny Who Loves Eating
After returning to the company, Alexander Foster buried himself in his work, handling everything with extraordinary efficiency.
He saved some time to hit the gym for two hours, then, figuring it was about time, he decided to go home to walk the dog.
At 6:20, a call came from home.
Outside the French windows, it was pouring rain, and Evelyn Thompson's voice, half-coquettish, half-commanding, came to his ears—
"The rain is really heavy, I called Chlo-Chlo, and she doesn't have an umbrella. I told her to wait for you in the small shop at the school's Doorway. Hurry up and go over there."
Alexander glanced down dismissively and asked nonchalantly, "Did the Driver die or something?"
"Uh... just pretend they're all dead today! Go quickly, and if you dare to send someone else, I'll sell your beloved Victor, do you hear me?"
Victor, his beloved dog.
Alexander frowned slightly, his deep voice tinged with helplessness: "Just this once."
