Chapitre 3: JJK Means Sorcery Fight.

Megumi's expression remained serious as he fixed his eyes on Yuji. "I'm a first-year student at Jujutsu High School," he began, his tone carrying an urgency that demanded Yuji's full attention. "And I'm here because of a cursed object. It's potentially dangerous."

Yuji frowned, caught off guard by the sudden revelation. "Jujutsu... what? And what's this about a cursed object?" he asked, confusion flickering in his eyes.

Megumi wasted no time, his voice low and measured as he explained. "There was a talisman—something used to seal a powerful curse. But the seal has worn off. If it's left unchecked, it could cause serious harm, attracting dangerous spirits." His eyes narrowed slightly as he added, "I believe you have it. A small box. Where is it?"

Yuji blinked in recognition, reaching into his bag to retrieve the object in question. "You mean this?" He handed over the small, weathered box, its wooden surface faintly etched with symbols. But as Megumi opened it, his brow furrowed.

"It's empty..." Megumi's voice was barely above a whisper, the gravity of the situation hitting him immediately. This is bad. Really bad.

At that exact moment, miles away at the school, Sasaki and Iguchi had already stumbled upon the true cursed object. In their hands was an ancient, shriveled finger, discolored and unnerving in its grotesque detail. The finger emitted an almost palpable aura of malevolence, a relic of a powerful, malevolent spirit long since dead.

Sasaki held the finger between her trembling fingers, her breath shallow. "What... what is this?" she asked, her voice barely steady as a sense of dread washed over her.

Iguchi, equally shaken, felt a cold sweat drip down the back of his neck. "I don't know, but it's giving me a really bad feeling."

Unknown to them, the cursed object was far more than just a finger—it was a beacon for curses. These malevolent entities, born from the swirling negative emotions of humans, had begun to gather around the school. Shadows stretched unnaturally long in the dim corridors as sinister whispers filled the air, unseen eyes watching their every move.

Back at the hospital, Megumi's head snapped up, his senses tingling. "The curses are already gathering," he muttered, glancing back at Yuji. "They'll be drawn to that finger like moths to a flame."

Yuji's face tightened with concern. "Sasaki and Iguchi are still there! We need to get back to the school, now."

Without wasting another second, Yuji and Megumi dashed out of the hospital and raced toward the school. As they neared, the air grew thicker, the atmosphere suffused with an unsettling tension that sent a chill down Yuji's spine. He could feel it now—a strange, gnawing sensation that made the hairs on his neck stand up.

"What is this feeling?" Yuji asked, his voice barely above a whisper as he clenched his fists, trying to shake off the creeping unease.

Megumi glanced sideways at him, his expression grim. "That's cursed energy," he explained. "It's the presence of curses, and it's all around us right now. Stay back, Yuji. This isn't something you can handle."

Yuji hesitated, but there was no time to argue. He watched as Megumi moved forward, his focus intense, his posture shifting into a stance that suggested he was prepared for battle.

Megumi strode through the entrance of the darkened school, the oppressive weight of cursed energy pressing down on him. His eyes flicked to the shadows, and without a word, he raised his hand, the fingers forming a practiced seal. The ground beneath him seemed to pulse, and in an instant, two large ethereal forms took shape beside him—his Divine Dogs, sleek and predatory, their eyes glowing faintly in the dim light.

With a swift command, Megumi unleashed the Divine Dogs, and they charged ahead, their snarls echoing through the hollow halls. The air crackled with cursed energy as malevolent spirits began to materialize—twisted, grotesque forms born from negative human emotions. They lunged at Megumi, but he remained unfazed.

"Ten Shadows Technique: Divine Dogs White & Black" he whispered under his breath, his eyes gleaming with fierce determination. The Divine Dogs were an extension of his will, moving in perfect synchronization with him as they tore through the cursed spirits with deadly precision. This technique was unique to Megumi—passed down and perfected through his training since childhood. He controlled the shadows themselves, summoning powerful familiars to do his bidding.

As Megumi fended off the curses, his movements were fluid and exact, a reflection of years of relentless practice. He wasn't just fighting; he was in complete command, every strike deliberate, such potential, shame he doesn't use it.

...

Megumi moved swiftly through the darkened halls, the tension in the air thick with the oppressive weight of cursed energy. His breath was steady, but his mind raced, searching for Sasaki and Iguchi. Shadows flickered in the corners of his vision, curses growing stronger as they closed in. Finally, he spotted them—Sasaki and Iguchi, huddled together in the center of the room, terror written on their faces. But something was wrong. Megumi's eyes widened in realization.

I'm too late.

The cursed energy around them was suffocating, swirling in the form of grotesque, malevolent spirits. The curses had overtaken Sasaki and Iguchi, their bodies frozen in fear, barely able to move. The room seemed to distort as the curses fed off their terror, growing more twisted and monstrous by the second. Megumi grit his teeth, preparing to summon his shikigami again, when—

CRASH!

The window shattered, and Yuji leaped through, landing in the middle of the chaos with an almost reckless energy. His eyes blazed with determination, and though fear rippled beneath the surface, he shoved it aside. The image of his grandfather's peaceful final moments flashed through his mind, a stark contrast to the nightmare unfolding before him. No one should die like this, he thought, his fists clenching. I won't let it happen.

Without hesitating, Yuji launched himself at the nearest curse, his speed and strength propelling him forward in a blur. With one fluid motion, he grabbed Sasaki, pulling her away from the looming spirit that was about to engulf her. She gasped in shock, clinging to Yuji as he dragged her out of harm's way, his heart pounding in his chest.

But before they could even catch their breath, the ceiling above them cracked and split apart. With a deafening roar, the curses from earlier came crashing through the roof, grotesque and ravenous. They zeroed in on Megumi, launching themselves at him with terrifying speed. Megumi raised his hand to summon his Divine Dogs once more, but he wasn't fast enough. The curses slammed into him, and with a sickening impact, he was thrown across the room.

"Megumi!" Yuji shouted, eyes wide with horror as he watched the sorcerer's body collide with the far wall. Megumi's shikigami disappeared instantly, the connection severed as the young sorcerer slumped to the ground, injured. He struggled to rise, but the pain was overwhelming. His vision blurred for a moment, and he realized with dread that he was too weak to summon his shadows. His strength was fading fast, and the curses were closing in.

Megumi winced, trying to steady his breath, but he was helpless, tossed outside through the broken wall, unable to defend himself.

Before he could give another command, Yuji was already in motion. With a fierce determination, he charged toward the curse that had attacked Megumi, his fists flying with brutal force. His knuckles cracked against the curse's grotesque form, but it was no use. The impact barely fazed it, the curse seemingly unfazed by Yuji's raw physical strength.

"Run!" Megumi shouted from where he lay, his voice strained with desperation. "You can't fight it like this—only a curse can exorcise another curse!"

But Yuji wasn't listening. He threw himself at the curse again and again, his strikes full of fury but lacking the cursed energy needed to do any real damage. Each punch, no matter how powerful, passed through the curse's twisted form like it was nothing. His physical strength—immense as it was—was useless against such an enemy.

The situation was rapidly spiraling out of control. Megumi, having pulled himself to his feet, tried to fight off the curses using only his physical skills, dodging and weaving between attacks with agility. But without his shikigami, without the cursed energy to back him up, it was a losing battle. Yuji, for all his power, couldn't touch them. And Megumi was running out of time.

Yuji gritted his teeth in frustration, every muscle in his body tensed with the effort of fighting the impossible. It's no good, he realized, the curses circling like predators ready to strike. Even with all my strength, I can't hurt them. Not like this.

Then, like a bolt of lightning, something Megumi had said earlier struck him: Curses are drawn to the cursed object. As long as it remains, the curses won't stop coming.

Yuji's eyes darted to the cursed finger—the object that had set everything in motion. It was still in Sasaki's possession, the source of the curses' relentless aggression. His mind raced as the realization hit him. If they wanted to stop this, they needed to deal with the cursed object—one way or another.

Megumi, still fighting to hold off the spirits, glanced at Yuji, his voice urgent. "Yuji... the finger... we need to—"

But before he could finish, the largest curse lunged at them with a ferocious roar. Yuji looked at the cursed object, it was a finger, purple and grotesque. "Sorry, Fushiguro...guess I got no choice."
