Chapitre 807: Visit

At the end of the tree-lined path is the destination of Yuga and his group's journey.

If the entire forest park can be described as a huge semi-open Ecopark, what Yuga and his group are currently facing is a fully enclosed Ecopark.

Semi-open Ecoparks rely on the original ecosystem of the location to maintain themselves, with no climate or temperature regulation systems inside the park. The environment mostly changes in accordance with external environmental changes.

Of course, the entire forest park isn't built entirely according to the semi-open Ecopark model. This forest park is just too large, and there are too many Pokémon living in it. If it were entirely built as an Ecopark, even a semi-open one, the cost would be prohibitively high.

This forest park only applies some of the Ecopark technologies. Nevertheless, even in this state, it is still remarkable.

On the other hand, fully enclosed Ecoparks rely on technology to simulate ecosystems completely different from the local climate and environment.

The environment inside the park doesn't change with external changes; even if it's snowing heavily outside, it can be as warm as spring inside, or if it's a scorching summer outside, it can be covered in snow inside.

It can be said that fully enclosed Ecoparks rely entirely on money to maintain their operation, and the system that built the Ecopark for Yuga belongs to the fully enclosed Ecopark category.

From this, you can see that the fully enclosed Ecopark in front of Yuga and his group is built on a small mountain, with the outer wall of the Ecopark made of a special transparent material that looks like glass but is much stronger.

The materials used to construct this Ecopark are clearly much more advanced than what Yuga used when building his main Ecopark initially.

The top of the Ecopark can be opened, and when Yuga and his group arrived here, they just happened to see the top of the Ecopark slowly opening.

Several brightly feathered Talonflame were flying out with a large group of Fletchinder and Fletchling in a noisy manner.

According to Moriki's explanation, this Ecopark simulates the climate of the Kalos region in spring. So every year when spring arrives in Lumiose City, they often open the Ecopark and shut down the climate maintenance system inside, saving a lot of resources.

Kalos is a region with distinct seasons, so its spring is entirely different from other seasons, unlike Hoenn, where there's little difference between the coastal summer and the inland spring.

Through the transparent outer wall of this Ecopark, Yuga could see lush green trees on the high hill inside, along with small artificial waterfalls flowing down.

The exterior of this fully enclosed Ecopark is a wide circular lake, with pink water lilies planted in it. The water from the artificial waterfalls inside the park eventually flows into this lake.

Walking across a bridge on the circular lake, Yuga and his group finally entered the interior of the Ecopark.

Inside the Ecopark, they found that there wasn't much of a high-tech feel; it was entirely designed to simulate a natural environment. Even the pathways they walked on were paved with round, smooth stones.

Because this Ecopark was built into the mountainside, there was a long circular mountain path inside. The areas they passed through would be allocated to various Day Cares coming here for the Pokémon Exchange Conference to showcase the Pokémon they brought.

As they walked, Moriki introduced them to the environments of different areas, including crystal-clear ponds, lush grassy meadows, and barren rocky areas.

In addition to that, Yuga and his group also saw many Pokémon that originally lived here, such as Wooper and Lotad playing in the water, Deerling leaping quickly on the mountain walls, and Buautifly, Vivillon, and Masquerain dancing in the meadows, and so on.

Pokémon from various regions were present.

Compared to the Pokémon living in the forest park, the Pokémon in this Ecopark had higher potential. Yuga had already seen several Pokémon with green auras along the way, which wasn't visible outside.

The scale of this Ecopark was beyond Yuga's imagination, and he wondered how much money was spent to construct it.

Both the YoYo Day Care and the Aroma Day Care were assigned exhibition areas halfway up the mountainside. It wasn't clear if it was because YoYo Day Care was recommended by Aroma Day Care, but the exhibition areas of the two Day Cares were right next to each other.

Aroma Day Care's exhibition area was a small forest adjacent to a flowerbed.

Aroma Day Care didn't bring their signature Pokémon, Cacturne and Lotad, this time. Instead, they showcased Seedot, Shroomish, and Exeggcute.

Compared to YoYo Day Care, Aroma Day Care had one additional type of Pokémon in their exhibition.

While Seedot and Shroomish were common in the Hoenn region, they were still quite popular in other regions.

There were very few Grass/Dark-type Pokémon, with only Cacturne and Shiftry from the Hoenn region. In other regions, they were considered rare.

Grass/Psychic-type Pokémon were also rare, and while Exeggcute and Exeggutor were distributed in various regions, they were scarce, and there weren't many Day Cares that could breed them.

According to Moriki's explanation, the forest park allocated a small grove to Aroma Day Care for accommodating their Seedot and Shroomish, while the adjacent flowerbed was shared with YoYo Day Care and used for housing Exeggcute and YoYo Day Care's Hoppip.

Apart from the flowerbed, YoYo Day Care was also assigned a small sandy area for accommodating their Trapinch.

All the participating Day Cares had already reported the types of Pokémon they would be exhibiting, so the forest park was able to plan and allocate suitable spaces accordingly.

The arrangements in the forest park were well thought out, and Yuga and Momiji were quite satisfied with their allocated spaces.

After inspecting their exhibition area, Yuga and Momiji didn't rush to leave. Instead, they, along with Moriki's guidance, began to explore other parts of the Ecopark.

Besides Yuga and Momiji, there were other Day Care representatives visiting as well.

Yuga wasn't particularly familiar with Day Care representatives from various regions and didn't react much when he saw them.

On the other hand, Momiji and Aroma Day Care were quite renowned, and Momiji was well-versed in social interactions. When she encountered acquaintances, she greeted them warmly.

Among these other Day Care representatives, some were checking their exhibition areas, while others, like Yuga's group, were touring the Ecopark with their guides.

There weren't many representatives from YoYo Day Care, and they were mixed in with the Aroma Day Care group. Other Day Care representatives assumed that Yuga and his group were also from Aroma Day Care.

However, a few did recognize Yuga's identity, as he had become somewhat of a celebrity. Still, since Yuga didn't initiate conversations with them, they didn't want to come across as trying too hard to establish connections, even though they were indeed interested in doing so. Maintaining one's reputation was important.

While the representatives participating in this conference had substantial resources due to the scale of their Day Cares, there was a distinction in status. Yuga, despite being a relative newcomer in the Day Care industry, had a legitimate position within the Pokémon League, which set him apart from the "commoners" in the industry.

For instance, Aroma Day Care, considered a Day Care industry giant, had complex networks within the Pokémon League, but their influence within the League was an external force, as they were primarily a commercial organization.

In contrast, Yuga held a more direct and official position within the League, making his status distinct.
