Chapitre 7: Chapter 4 - Time

[Glimpse of the future]

"Why? Why do you continue to do that?! Continue to lie to me, and even to them!? I don't understand! why... why you won't share it with me.. or any of us!" A loud voice rang out, the stillness of the world around their body, brought everyone's attention. Leaving aside the sounds of yells, screams, and the unending echo of pain. The dark earth below was now deformed, the sky black and the battlefield in chaos. Yet to this person, none of that seemed to matter. Her white skin was illuminated by the fires that burned at random points, her forehead bleeding, yet no matter the circumstances around her, she helped a shinobi at her feet. Her eyes were not looking at the young man as she healed him, but the one who stood on a high rock overlooking the battle.

"As much as I hate to admit it.. she is right.. why? why do you keep running forward? You keep hiding things, is.. is.. is it in hopes you won't hurt us?! But what's the meaning in it?! when you disappeared.. I.. no we.. dealt with it, when you lied, we dealt with it! Even when we found out you had others, we tried for you! So tell me, why do you keep pushing me away? No.. why do you keep pushing us away?!" Another voice rang out, younger but more clear, not cracking with tears or misunderstanding but pain that could not be hidden with just words. Her orangish red hair blowing in the shockwaves of Jutsu's around her. Still, her eyes turned black as she looked at the back of the man she chased, the man who gave her, her most precious person, as she yelled out.

"...." Still the figure sat unmoved, his hands moving to stop anything from hitting the ones behind him, as if the jutsu's fired had disappeared into nothing. The loud sounds of metal and screams did not change the man's face, whose back was turned to the ones who spoke to him. His white robe blowing with each strong wind of the battle that took place far away from himself and the others.

"You may act however you wish.. like you don't care, for me.. for us.. but i know you do! You can hide it.. but I know you, we all do.. you're just.. you're just.. you're just scared of losing us.. so you push us away!" Another woman laying on the ground held her shoulder as she spoke out, her bright eyes firm as her flowing hair blew slightly. "Your words may lead others to think differently, but I, no, we know your heart! so... so.. so why?! Why won't you let anyone close.. even us.." This was not the first time, over years of struggle, the 3 hated but accepted that the man they loved, loved another, but it didn't change the pain they felt. Yet, at this point, it no longer matters. What they face now could change the world and, in turn, change what mattered the most at this point, answers.

The world soon fell silent, so much of what the man had heard over a lifetime. His world covered in darkness as he sat in a temple, or more so his own burial ground. Watching the world change without care, but nothing lasts forever. Why did he venture out of that place? For freedom, understanding, or maybe something else. He didn't know back then, but even as he denied it, he knew very well what kept him here, what brought him happiness and pain. Yet like rain uncaring of who it hits, his heart tried to cover itself from the world.

"You all still don't understand.. even now.. your questions of understanding, miss what matters to me." The mans face was turned away, but his mouth moved as he gritted his teeth slightly. His face to the sky as he looked at the black clouds. The wind as if breathing, moving his long black hair slowly as his body became rigid for a moment, his head low as he finally turned around. His head shaking as cracking could be heard, and Is rigid bone like sounds echoed out, and to their shook, a horn was shown under the man's skin on top of his head.

"Jigen.." The first woman said, her hands still placed on the young man below her healing him as her eyes widened, calling out to the man, yet it was not dumbfounded from what was in front of her.

"Jigen.." The other said, her black eyes stressed, her skin heating up as if a fire was lit in her stomach, her words confused as she looked on and covered her mouth with one hand.

"Ji..." The last woman couldn't even get her sentence out as she watched on, her eyes moving from the man's chest to the black lines on his skin, only to look at the black plate that sat on his midsection.

'Nothing in this world last forever.. All I wished was to change it.. so you and our little ones never have to see this kind of world. Because even I will.. die one day..' The words from the past rang in each of their ears, words lost to mind and forgotten by time. Yet now they could remember so clearly in there thoughts, seemingly to bury in the hearts.

*crack

The sounds of the world fell, the echoing of the battle washing over everyone, yet it seemed so loud from the distant sounds in screams far in the distance. The threes eyes going wide as the man turned around, his black eyes drifting to each of them as he smiled for a moment.

"Even i can't live forever.. and now that I think of all that has happened, I'm.. what.. what was it again? Im.. I'm happy.. you showed me.. showed me things i didn't understand until now..' Letting out a long sigh the man spoke slowly, his eyes moving from the three women to his stomach as he saw a crack.

The world once again became a wasteland of thoughts, roaming with no clear direction, wanting to wash the world over in a light of misunderstanding. Yet as Jigen stood he couldn't help but laugh slightly as the memories in his mind flashed with a new understanding. The forgetfulness of his character and the lessons he to had to learn from his journey in this world.

His arm feeling the weight of another as he stood up from the bed, looking at the moon, his long nights in a forest of burn trees, and his understanding of the world as he looked at a woman who only cared about her mission.

'No matter the world, ones heart can't be changed by things they don't understand, yet they accept what had been lost to them.' Thoughts drifted along a sea of nothingness, the hand of the man moving to his stomach as he looked out to missing words in is heart.

"But.. it seems I'm out of time.."

"Even now I did not lie.. I.."
