The next morning, Chris awoke with a pounding headache, the aftermath of a heavy night. As he lifted himself up on his elbows, he was greeted by Suzy standing before him, holding a steaming bowl of hangover soup.
"Finish this," Suzy instructed, handing him the bowl before quietly leaving the bedroom.
Gratefully, Chris drank the soup, feeling its warmth soothe his aching head and unsettled stomach. Afterward, he made his way to the washroom, where he assessed his swollen eyes and face in the mirror.
With a sigh, he quickly freshened up before stepping into a hot shower, the cascading water easing the tension in his muscles and providing a much-needed sense of relaxation.
Chris was still feeling gloomy about what happened last day. But he decided to do clubbing to get off his thoughts from all those people who had hurt him.
