She did not know why she felt excited, but the thought of seeing Angelique again made her feel elated. Truthfully, she could not wait for the young girl to arrive.

Jules only met her briefly, but she already felt a connection between them. In a way, she believed she saw herself in her.

"Have you arranged for her room?" She asked Philip when he walked into the kitchen. 

She looked up from the creamy tart she was preparing for dessert and waited for confirmation of her question. She just wanted everything to be ready before their guests arrived.

"Everything is set. I placed our young guest just across from the young Master's room." Philip informed her as he walked across the room, stopping only to pick up a glass of water.

She watched the older man refresh himself with the cold drink before her eyes turned to notice a young woman enter the room.
