He had not slept a wink since he left her in their room. But that was understandable since his mind had not stopped thinking of her.
She was like a ghost that haunted him every time he closed his eyes, even in his waking hours. She had become the white whale he had chased to the point of obsession.
"You looked lost." A hand waved in front of his face, catching his attention.
He was unaware that he had zoned out. But seeing his friend's smug face before him, he could tell he was mocking him.
They had stopped to take a break from their activity. The group had decided to head back to the yacht's lower deck, away from the direct sunlight, after some had already had their catch for the day.
"Are you sure you are in the right place?" His friend persistently taunted him as they sat on the soft cushion of the couch in the main reception room to rest.
Advance Happy New Year to everyone.
Thank you again for another year of reading and appreciating my stories.
This year had been both a tragedy and a blessing to me. It was an endless roller coaster ride that brought me up and down.
There were many times that I almost gave up in writing as real life distracted me from creating my stories. But your constant presence, through votes, comments, gifts and more had kept me going. You did not let me give up on something I love to do despite the hardship.
Thank you again.
I hope that this coming year will be much better. And I hope I can create more wonderful stories that we will all enjoy.
And I also pray that all of you will have a happy and productive New Year!
By the way, if you have a spare coin, I hope you can buy my privilege chapter this month. I need eighteen more privilege chapters to qualify for a promotion. If you can buy one or two, I will truly appreciate it.
