Chapitre 64: Estate Checkup (1)

They decided to make their way over to the banquet hall, a spacious chamber tucked away near the west wing of the estate.

To get there, they strolled down a corridor adorned with numerous family portraits hanging on the walls.

These pictures, all framed in gold, were like a trip down memory lane for the Wolfram family. Each one preserved the faces of the Wolframs, tracing the lineage all the way back to Nicolaus' dad. 

In this array of family portraits, Mikael's eye caught sight of a picture featuring Nicolaus himself. There he was, looking all innocent, a kid with a serious face, maybe trying to look grown-up or something.

Then, there was another portrait that portrayed a completely different side of him. He had this mischievous, sneaky grin plastered on his face, appearing to be about ten years old in that one. 

And, without even realizing it, a chuckle slipped out from Mikael's lips as he stared at these paintings.
