Chapitre 50: The villain's smile

The zombie squad set out on their journey once again, not far from the White Fox City, a mere half day's journey. They were much more cautious now, and the nine lord creatures were prepared to play dead at any moment.

Half a day passed quickly, and the scenery by the roadside began to change. Houses appeared, along with small villages. Shaun continuously sniffed the air, trying to detect any signs of human settlements. The road was not heavily infested with zombies or mutant creatures, so there was a good chance of finding a human gathering place.

"Hmm?" Shaun suddenly stopped, for he had caught the scent of fresh blood and flesh. In the distance, a village lay nestled among the fields. It was surrounded by a low brick wall, no more than two meters high, but enough to keep out the scattered zombies. Shaun activated his human form and ordered the zombie squad to lurk nearby, awaiting his command.
