Akira suddenly fell asleep as Haruna tried to continue her speech about the prophecy, her lips curving into a smile, watching him nod off.

Her eyes narrowed, watching his body fall back and land on the soft bedding while shaking her head.

"It seems he was too exhausted... what a cute boy." 

At first, I thought she would leave, but instead, Haruna began to stroke through his silver hair, which no longer returned to the black colour like normally after combat.

"His current state isn't good to bring back to the village because of all this thick demonic mana coming from his body." Haruna's voice was smooth and gentle, like a quiet song, making me feel relaxed.

I worried she might suddenly become our enemy because this world wasn't fond of the demon lord and what that kind of existence represented.
