Standing in the queue, in an orderly manner, the people were chattering excitedly and those in the front were even more excited.

A young lady nervously walked towards the vegetable booth holding the card which held her livelihood.

She was in her twenties and the only person at home. Her family was one of the unfortunate ones, where only a family member remained.

Last year, there were three. It was her and her parents. Unfortunately, when winter arrived, her father couldn't make it. Food was an issue all the time. When there wasn't enough, people, despite the cold weather, would be forced to go out and forage.

Everything was normal until a sudden blizzard came in the afternoon, taking everyone by surprise.

Her father passed away in that blizzard, frozen to death, and he wasn't the only person who perished that day. That sudden blizzard took a lot of lives.
