Chapter 9
(Alexander POV:)
The rest of the school week flew by in a flash, devoid of any noteworthy events. Alice and I engaged in endless conversations, with her persistently urging me to join her at her table. However, I politely declined her invitation as I set with my brother throughout the week. I didn't know it if was Edythe idea or it was just Alice being friendly. Most likely Alice being Alice.
The long-awaited weekend had finally arrived. I discussed with Arthur the possibility of visiting the Clearwater's house to play around, but he had different plans in mind. He excitedly informed me that he had made new friends and intended to play basketball with them at the town center. I ended calling Leah and told her that Arthur not coming. She said she will be there to pick me up today.
Honk! Honk!
"Speak of the devil. Here she is." I use my observation haki to start walking towards her car with my cane. While Leah opens the door...
Leah: "Hey Alex! Come to the front of the car, to the passenger seat. Seth stayed back at the house to get things ready with a friend."
As I hopped into the car, Leah wasted no time in accelerating, and I couldn't help but feel the exhilarating speed she was reaching. It was quite a surprise to discover her hidden passion for fast driving. I suddenly felt lucky not able to see has fast she was going or else I would feel like I would have a heart attack.
Leah and I arrived at her house in record time. As I stepped out of the car, a wave of relief washed over me.
"Thank goodness the car finally came to a halt," I muttered under my breath. I felt like I was on a Rollercoaster.
Leah turned to me, a puzzled expression on her face. "Did you say something, Alex?"
Realizing I had spoken aloud, I quickly recovered. "Oh, I was just wondering who your friend is that will be joining us."
Leah chuckled. "I must have misheard. It's actually my brother's friend, Jacob Black. Seth looks up to him and wanted to invite him today to have fun and to introduce you and your brother to him."
"Got it. Well, I'm excited to meet him," I replied with a hint of curiosity as this guy is the famous team Jacob.
As we made our way towards the Clearwater's front door, my mind filled with anticipation. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of person Jacob Black would turn out to be since he is other guy who Bella would like as posable partner. Leah went in first then myself.
Seth: " There you two are. Jacob come over and meet our new friend "
Jacob: " You must be Alex, I heard about you and your brother from Seth."
I put my hand out and he shake it. " it is nice to meet you too. "
His hand feels weak... Are they sure he's a love rival for Bella? I thought he'd be stronger. Maybe he has some kind of cliché power-up. But he seems to be a friendly, carefree, person as I can tell from his emotions.. Maybe Bella is attracted to him because of that...
When introduction was done, we ended up going out four-wheel driving. Of course, I wasn't driving but if I did I would of been fine. I most likely give everyone a heart attack. Thr pro was I ended up sitting behind Leah as she drove for speed in the woods. The best part was holding onto her so I wouldn't fall off.
After we were done, we had pizza and talked. Of course, Jacob asked me if I knew Bella or not. I said yes and then told him what he wanted to know. Ah, to be young and experience puppy love. The same time he wanted to know how I work out. So I told him. I guess he wants to bulk up.
We end the day with them watching and myself listening to Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. This made me want to play a good pirate song from one of my favorite anime that I liked listening to, and I had it on my playlist in my old world. I asked to use their mother's piano. At the same time, it makes me glad that in this life I have a pretty good singing voice. ( A/N: I dont own the song. Now Sing with me.)

They clap their hands. They was surprised that I could sing and play the piano so well. Afterwards, Leah dropped me off and asked me to call her again to hang out. It was a fun day. Now I'm ready for next week when Edythe is going to introduce herself.
