He stood in the center of the large hall where all the patients were brought. Instead of healing them one by one, Cale had chosen to do it all at once. It wouldn't take much effort.
"Alright, let's begin."
Cale began to activate the chaos energy. The energy branched out, growing like a sphere between his hands. As it plunged like a spear into the hearts of the seventy patients present, he heard their screams.
"Raven Rivera... Can we trust that man?"
Perez looked at his friend Emily, who was with him. Emily was looking worriedly at what Cale was doing. What he was doing looked like torture to her, not healing.
"Do we have any choice but not to trust him?" Perez asked, and Emily looked at him.
She stopped talking when she saw the sadness and desperation in Perez's eyes. Just a week before, his mother and sister had died of the disease. He had done his best to help other people before he could feel the pain of not being able to save them.
