Chapitre 44: Making my entrance
Going upstairs to grab a quick drink of water due to my sticky mouth, I happened to catch sight of the news station that was playing in our lobby that Vi'kog was currently watching. The reporters were talking about how Tony Stark was missing in the middle east. I had been keeping an eye on his situation, but because of my recent spider experiment I had obviously missed the fact that he had traveled to the middle east already.
After telling Vi'kog to continue watching the store, I opened a portal to the stargate Universe and grabbed my puddle cycle before coming back and immediately heading towards tony in my Titan form. I felt fate had given me this opportunity to test out my new powers and I didn't want to pass it up.
Hoping Tony had already made his new heart, I scanned for odd energy signatures and found him. I arrived cloaked, parked my cloaked bike, and simply walked by the guards of the cave and headed inside to Tony. The first and only obstacle I ran into on the way was the door that separated Tony and his helper Ho Yinsen from freedom. Taking a quick peak inside through a small slit in the door that was meant to view the captives, I wanted to see their progress, but couldn't really see everything inside well enough.
I did however see Tony welding something while Ho Yinsen was out of view. Since I could tell they had at least started on the armor, I left the cave and got to work. As soon as I exited the cave, I dropped my cloak and stood in the center of the group of the many middle easterns that were armed to the teeth with stark weaponry.
"Wha- what is that" My brain automatically translated the words of the first person to notice me as everyone else also took notice and raised their M15's in my direction. My body alerted me to an incoming danger from each direction of my enemies right before they had even pointed their rifles at me. I could tell this was my newly acquired spider sense. This power alone was worth all the trouble I went through to get the spiders.
As soon as the rifles started to fire, my body moved almost on impulse as I easily dodged the incoming bullets which seemed a lot slower than I remember bullets being. I found myself capable of feats my old bulky body could not do as I flipped this way and that as I avoided at least fifty people firing their rifles at me.
As I landed, my new senses alerted me to a danger behind me. Turning around I realized one of the middle eastern men had snuck up on me and had taken aim. On reflex I spat out on him. For whatever reason, it felt like the natural thing to do. My sticky mouth now no longer felt as sticky. A wad of spit that looked like webbing hit the mans face and started burning his flesh away where it had landed. The man screamed in horror as his face melted off in an instant.
It was absolutely disgusting, but it also reminded me that I hadn't tried using my webbing yet. Figuring it was like Tobey's webbing I mimicked how I had seen him use his hands as I tried to get my webs to come out. With a 'fwip' a string of webbing came out of my wrist and hit the target I had pointed it at. This webbing wasn't acidic like the webbing that came out of my mouth a second ago, but I could tell it was extremely strong and sticky.
Grabbing hold of the webbing I had just shot out, I pulled on it while it stuck to the guy I had shot it at, pulling him to me. Catching the man in my hands, I ripped him in half and then dropped his corpse onto the ground before me.
I could tell my speed, strength, durability, and healing were also on a whole new level and even if It still wasn't as good as my fathers or brothers, it was getting close. I felt a hundred times stronger than I was previously. My agility was the most notable change. Although I doubted I was even close to Quicksilvers level of speed because things didn't freeze in time for me, I noticed things were considerably more slowed down for me when I reacted to threats.
After clearing up the small fry, my spider sense went off again and I looked into the direction it was saying the danger was coming from. A man was loading up his bazooka and Id bet anything that it was meant for me.
Thinking for a second, I thought id test something out. Shooting out a web towards the man, I thought in my head to mix the the phasers 'stun' ability into it and was delighted to see it worked. As soon as the webbing touched the man, he was instantly stunned and fell to the ground.
I probably wouldn't use the webbing often in my fights, but it could come in handy for many things including subduing opponents I didn't want to kill. I prefer to use my fist or lightsaber when handling my enemies. I find it to be a lot more fun.
I didn't need to test out the wall climbing because I instinctively knew I could do it as if it was as easy as walking. I should be able to use camouflage, but I had no idea how to activate it. It hadn't activated once while I had been getting shot at. I wasn't too worried about this power though considering I had my cloaking ability which was similar.
Seeing that man that had just tried to shoot me with a bazooka get back up, I was about to kill him when we both turned our heads toward a huge explosion that seemed to come from inside the cave. Not long after we both watched as men came running out of the cave screaming and trying to escape. Shortly after, Tony came out in his huge bulky suit of armor as he shot flames out of his arms setting the people fleeing on fire.
Seeing that Tony had built his armor and gotten free, it was time for me to go. I had come here to mostly just test out my new abilities and to introduce myself to Tony early on.
Seeing his big suit of armor point itself at me. I jumped on my puddle cycle and took off on it as I yelled back at him. "Glad I could help you Tony! and Don't trust Obadiah Stane, he's the whole reason you are in this mess".
I wasn't interested in the chunk of metal he built in a cave, I was only interested in his future nano armor and would have to wait quite a while to get my hands on it. Now that I was finished here, I headed to Midtown high school to pick up Peter parker.
