"Master, please wake up. It's not safe to sleep in the hot water."

I blinked my eyes open, realizing I had dozed off in the warm pool. Today's events had drained me. "What time is it?"

"It's about 1 am," came the reply.

There are still a few hours left before I have to head to the academy. Splashing water on my face, I allowed myself a few more moments of relaxation. "Any news about the war?"

"It's going to be drawn out. Both sides are evenly matched, we can't hurt them and they can't hurt us. So our strategy is to make them exhaust their food and water supplies, forcing them to surrender to us."

Taking a deep breath, I responded, "Keep me updated if you need any assistance." During this downtime, I should focus on furthering my skills.
