The bone-chilling roar of the Alpha rang out. It was being cooked as molten magma poured over it while its body was drenched in ice-cold water.
Thermodynamic shock, also known as thermodynamic explosion or thermochemical explosion, simply meant the sudden and violent release of energy caused by a rapid chemical reaction or phase transition.
It often occurred when a material underwent a rapid change in temperature or pressure, resulting in an explosive release of stored energy. Normally, explosives would suffice, since the change from normal temperature to very hot already created insane energy.
But if you really wanted to kick it up a notch, you lowered the bar for "Normal". If normal temp to very hot was destructive, what would be the result of very cold to very hot? What was happening in front of me had to be seen to be believed.
