The rest of the weekend went by between text messages and silly selfies. Cassidy got used to texting him quite often, the sharing of their daily life in pictures easing how much she missed him.
When Monday morning arrived, she decided to start going to school early, just as she did a few weeks back. Of course, she told Kyle her mom had to join meetings early again as an excuse; not ready to say her true intentions to him just yet.
Kyle found comfort in her company. It was not a surprise for him feeling that good around her. Not anymore.
That Monday, during lunch, Cassidy and Allen has the chance to mend fences about the past events; allowing them to bond even more as they were now "family". This made Cassidy felt relieved, forgetting the guilt for being so insensitive in the past.
Now, she was to care about Allen as she would care for Isabelle. Well, almost as much. For her, Isabelle would always come first.
