Chapitre 33: Chapter 32: Kinda addicting

Penelope POV

'This will either be really fun, or really disastrous.'

I take them all to an abandoned classroom I know and sit down at a desk.

'Ah, I remember the time I learned levitation charm like this.'

Watching them discuss which spell to start with, and Ansh explaining it to them, reminds me of when me and my friends used to gather like this. We broke our fair share of desks those days.

Maybe we should do this again, it could still be fun. Though gathering all my friends is a herculean task in itself.

*sigh*

*BOOM*

'WHAT THE -!'

I look to the side where the noise came from, and all I see is a pile of dust there.

"Where did that voice come from?"

Seeing no obvious signs, I ask the person most likely responsible for the noise.

"From the spell." He answers as if it's obvious.

"Oh really, my thank you for clearing that up good sir. Now if you would be kind enough to name which spell it was exactly, I would be immensely grateful to you."

"No need for that, it was a reductor curse." He fires nonchalantly.

"A reductor curse, you?"

"Yes a reductor curse, me."

"Do it again then." Who teaches these kids to lie.

*BOOM*

............…What in Merlin's name-

'Did I see that right, am I hallucinating, did someone spike my lunch, is this a dream.'

"How is it? Are you amazed by my great self as well?"

I couldn't help nod alo-

"NO wait! Wha- no HOW did you do that?"

"Oh it was easy, just pointed my finger and BAM."

*BOOM*

"Stop destroying stuff. And a demonstration is not what I am asking for."

"Then what do you want?"

"How do you know that spell? It is a fifth-year charm. And even if you do, how do you do it so well? There is nothing left of the desk, just dust! And mo- wait a minute, where is your wand, an- and I didn't see you say the spell or anything?"

"Oh please, wands are for amateurs. And who in their right mind would speak the spell out loud for the world to hear? Though I do agree it has a certain appeal, it really feels like magic when you say it out loud, though it's a choice."

"Choice. Choice. Choice? Yes, of course. People only use wands and speak the spell out loud because they choose to, they can stop doing that whenever they want."

Was I not invited to the meeting where they decided this? Did someone forget to pass me the memo?

"No, no matter how I think about this, you are the weird one here."

"*shrug* Normal is overrated anyway. Now, if I can get back to my students."

And he turns around and begins instructing them on the spell.

'But HOW!!? Not to mention he turned the chair to fine dust. I CAN NOT DO THAT SPELL!!.'

'Is he actually.... a prodigy? I thought those only existed in books. Or maybe he only knows that one spell realyyyyyyyyyyy well?'

I look toward the source of my worries, 'Yeah, no way is he a genius or something. Or this world would be unfair.'

'Well, if he does know THIS spell well enough, maybe I can ask him about it?.....Yeah, it was a stroke of luck that he knows this spell so well, and that I saw him do it, so why not make use of this and learn from him. It is not like he can say no to me, after all the headache he has caused me, a spell should be nothing.'

With my mind made up, I approach him to be included in the, lesson?, as well.

'He barely reaches my shoulder, and I am supposed to learn from him?' As I approach him, it becomes hard for words to come out. I have some pride as a senior as well!

"Is anything wrong?" He asks after a couple seconds of me just standing beside him.

"Nothing, just checking to see if you are teaching them right or not."

"I believe I showed my expertise just now, so clearly I can teach this spell well."

"Yes but…. Just in case you teach them something wrong. Wouldn't want that happening now, right?"

"Okayyyy? Just, don't breathe down my neck."

'Oh I am this close to choking it.'

"Just focus on them." Is it really that much a bother if I listen?

"Well anyway, where was I-? Right the intent- think about how you want the object to be destroyed, you don't want to break it rather think about crushing it completely. And important part here is to believe that the object is rather insignificant, how you are just so much above it that its destruction is as easy as snapping your finger and of no consequence to you. At least that is what helped me. And with that-..."

He continued describing how he thought our mental state should be and afterward proceeded to talk about the wand movement and pronunciation.

"Ok so, any doubts?"

We all declined and then he told them to try it out.

One by one they tried the spell, and the pink-haired one did the best managing to break the table in a few pieces on her first try. When they were done they looked at him as if waiting evaluation.

"Well, go on. Your turn."

"Me?" I asked pointing at myself.

"Yes you. You clearly want to learn it so ty it out, magic is a practical art, just listening in won't help you."

"I was no-"

"Oh spare it. I can see you nodding your head at my explanation and fact that you were trying to learn was apparent. No need to act, learning is never embarrassing."

'I wanna dig a hole and jump in...… but now that cat is out of the bag, let me try the spell first.'

I point my wand a random desk and make the wand moments and say the spell-

*BOOM*

"Hmm, impressive. But as I said- imagine to crush it, not break it." He commented on that marvelous display of magic and then went of to give suggestions to others.

It was my 2nd time with the spell, and I can't believe I managed to break it into several pieces, last time I barely managed to leave a crack.

'I have the POWER!!!'

"I HAVE THE POWER!!!!!"

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

Along with my spell and mental declaration, I heard a verbal one, and another desk broke into splinters.

I look to the side to see it was the pink one that did that.

"This spell is kinda addicting" commented Padma.

"I think it's the feeling of being able to blow things up that's addicting." Offered the ginger.

'And I can't agree more.'

So with a grin on our faces, we all proceeded to blast desks for the evening.

A/N: So... I am Back!!!! These exams were one of the worst I have ever given, but they are over so- YAY!! (>▽<)

And I realize that some authors do this thing where they give additional chapters if they reach a goal- like 200 powerstones or something.

So, I am doing something similar to try it out- If this chapter gets 25 comments by 07:30 GMT, I will post a new chapter tomorrow. (And one person's all comments will be counted as one).

A small goal to test the waters, cause powerstones are useless to me. And i have said it a dozen times-COMMENT!!!

But you guys always forget to (or maybe don't want to ╥﹏╥). Hopefully this will help your amnesia (¬、¬).

Anddddd since my holidays have started, I will try to push more than one chapter a week(If you comment obviously(。•̀ᴗ-)✧)

Andddd Part 2: VERY IMPORTANT- Do remember than most of my chapters are from the point of view of MC, which can be a bit biased. As we all see us as more important and better than our surrounding people.

I realize that maybe I should have given this warning at start, but I just remembered so....
