Ama started the morning by knocking on Eclarisse's door and leaving a tray with her breakfast by the door.

It's been over a week since the incident but Eclarisse still haven't stepped a foot outside her room.

As she stood alone in middle of the hallway, the news of her friend's death still fresh in her mind, Ana's heart ached with a mixture of grief and guilt. The walls seemed to close in around her, its walls echoing the weight of the sacrifice Trois had made by getting involved. She couldn't help but feel responsible, torn between the shadows of her duty and the flickering candle of human connection.

With each passing day, guilt continued to eat her up from the inside out. Ana and the others visited Trois' family in the third ward a few days ago to tell them the news.
