A grim tension filled the classroom as class continued. Eclarisse explained how they were suddenly attacked and captured while visiting the laboratory in the 5th Ward. Trois died in the fight while protecting Eclarisse.

No one in the academy seemed to question that Trois suddenly went missing. The students and even the teachers all presumed that he had simply quit because of financial problems. When Ana was about to explain everything to the teachers, Valerian stopped her saying that no one would believe them since his father had the whole sanctuary under his grasp.
