Despite her palpable fear at the sight of the blade, Alla mustered the courage to approach him. "I...I have returned," she declared. Gordon slowly lifted his gaze, his deep-set eyes intently fixed on her. Not uttering a word, he maintained his intense stare, reminiscent of a predator observing its doomed prey.
