Chapitre 34: Chapter 34: Ambush
This Uchiha Jonin is also unlucky. Most of the sensory ninjas are long-distance perceivers, utilizing the Byakugan, summoning beasts, ninjutsu, chakra sensing, and other methods to detect opponents. However, in order to completely trap Orochimaru and prevent him from escaping, the third elders sent a "special talent" who could perceive opponents' chakra with mental power. Though not on par with the Byakugan, it was commendable. Little did they expect to encounter someone as powerful as Orochimaru and be directly incapacitated.
"Not good!" Kaze felt a sense of urgency in his heart. His perception ninja had been severely injured, and dealing with Orochimaru's "snake escape" could be quite troublesome.
"Shhh..!" Two enormous snakes burst out of a room, their gruesome mouths wide open, charging towards the defensive formation formed by the Uchiha. Orochimaru appeared directly on top of one of the snake's heads, looking down at them from above. Simultaneously, five identical giant snakes rushed towards the gate and the walls of the underground warehouse.
"Stop those snakes!" Kaze roared, leaping up, and the two huge snake heads slammed into the floor, sending stone debris flying.
In Kaze's eyes, the Sharingan pupils emitted a strange red glow, like the gaze of a demon.
"Playing with snakes? How many snakes can you summon to die?" Kaze swiftly tore Orochimaru, who was on the snake, into pieces with terrifying speed, seeing through the clone technique.
However, a detonating talisman was attached to the body of the dead snake.
"Hmph, a little trick." Kaze smiled disdainfully.
"Boom!" The detonating charm exploded, creating chaos in the vicinity, including logs blown to pieces. Uchiha didn't want their presence to be prematurely exposed, and Orochimaru didn't want that either, otherwise, he wouldn't have used a detonating talisman.
A shadow emerged from the debris and shouted, "Watch out for the snakes rushing outside, and guard the gate!"
Two chunin broke through the snake circle and chased after the giant snake rushing towards the door.
As the smoke gradually cleared, it left behind a choking smell and a mess on the ground. The two big snakes that rushed towards the door had already collided with the sealed gate and wall, and now they were still, forming a circle around it.
"Cough, he seems to be near the door!" The sensory Ninja coughed out a mouthful of blood, his tone uncertain. His strength was greatly diminished, and he no longer dared to precisely locate Orochimaru.
"No, come back!" Kaze evaded the big snake's attack with ease and looked towards the door.
The dead snakes had already piled up in a circle, and fewer and fewer snakes appeared.
"Someone's in the way!" Another intact Jonin lost his patience, forming a string of hand seals, and a huge thunder light enveloped his body!
"Be careful!" The other ninjas leaped high, and this Jonin clapped the floor with both hands, releasing a massive electric arc that electrified all the snakes around him, whether dead or alive, turning them into charred remains!
"Raiton: Rakurai!" This was clearly a Jonin proficient in Raiton (Lightning Release)!
The bodies of the two giant snakes that were still attacking instantly stiffened, then twisted violently, and their snake pupils were directly blasted by the terrifying plasma! The scales on their bodies charred and rolled back, and in just a few seconds, they were completely dead!
A blue shockwave seemed to spread, illuminating the entire massive warehouse with a bright blue glow. The metal equipment crackled, the hard floor burst into ravines, and the bright red blood left by the snakes leaked away. The incandescent light flickered, and even outside the hospital, one could feel the immense vibration and the glow coming from the first floor!
The power of the Lightning Release ninjutsu, used by the Jonin with all his strength, was astonishing. However, the electric current had already "cleaned" almost all the areas of the warehouse, and there was still no sign of Orochimaru!
The door of the warehouse had been sealed with Earth Release jutsu as soon as Kaze entered. The few large snakes slammed into the door and wall, perhaps getting electrocuted, as they now lay still, eyes closed, and unmoving.
A few chunin rummaged through the rubble and even found a collapsed freezer containing a lifeless corpse waiting to be dissected.
"Isn't he electrocuted?" A chunin carefully kicked away a crushed corpse, revealing several dead snakes and some broken glassware underneath.
"No, he's nearby! My intuition tells me I'm locking onto a cold aura," Kaze said, feeling the presence of Orochimaru.
Kaze was now extremely frustrated and annoyed. He clenched kunai with his hand, vowing that once he caught Orochimaru, he would make him pay dearly!
"What are these snakes doing here?" A chunin approached a mound near the door and got close to a giant snake, intending to use Fire Release to burn it completely.
"Be careful, that thing isn't simple!" The sensory ninja warned. Just now, he vaguely sensed Orochimaru's presence near the door. Although his powers were greatly diminished, he clearly sensed the chakra fluctuations in the snake's mouth!
"What!" The chunin was startled, but the giant snake's mouth suddenly opened, and Orochimaru's body, still stained with snake fluids, rushed out of its mouth, right in front of the chunin!
"I didn't expect that!" Orochimaru displayed a terrifying smile and looked at the chunin with cold eyes, almost touching his face.
"Ah!" The chunin with the three-tomoe Sharingan rapidly turned his tomoe, his mouth widened in horror, and a sense of deathly terror enveloped his entire body!
He was going to die! In a desperate attempt to survive, the chunin slashed at Orochimaru's head with a kunai at the fastest speed of his life, abandoning the order to capture Orochimaru and opting to kill him directly!
"Be careful!" A shout came from a distance as another chunin rushed over from behind to support his comrade, and the Jonin who used Raiton followed suit. In a matter of moments, Orochimaru was surrounded!
"Thud!"
The chunin who arrived from behind stared in disbelief as a ten-meter-long blade shot out from the back of his comrade's head, almost reaching Orochimaru. The steel needle-like blade stabbed both unfortunate souls to death simultaneously!
The white brain mixed with blood spilled from the chunin's head in front of Orochimaru. His hands hung down weakly, and the kunai fell to the ground with a tinkling sound.
Kusanagi blade extended directly from Orochimaru's mouth, piercing the horrified face of the chunin.
The blade retracted without a trace of blood sticking to it, and the two corpses fell lifeless to the ground, creating a cloud of dust.
Orochimaru licked the blood splattered on his face, glancing at the dead snakes scattered all over the ground and the ruined warehouse, revealing a cold smile.
What the hell just happened?!
The remaining two chunin stepped back in fear as they looked at Orochimaru, who appeared like a specter. Kyo's eyes filled them with terror, fearing a child who was less than eight years old!
"You may still be alright, but you shouldn't have appeared directly in front of me." Kaze looked at Orochimaru blankly, still focused on his mission despite overwhelming inner anger.
"You and I both know why we're here. If you insisted on running or hiding directly beside Hokage or your teacher, we wouldn't have had a chance for the time being." Kaze stared at Orochimaru with burning eyes.
"Until we entered this gate, you could have dragged us around with these snakes, providing you with a chance to escape." Kaze's tone was indifferent as he walked towards Orochimaru step by step.
"But you didn't. Instead, you stayed in your snake hole, waiting to die. Now that you're in front of me, you can't escape like a rat, as you did last time."
Kaze's momentum gradually rose, surpassing that of an average Jonin, becoming akin to a sharp dagger.
"Boy, if it weren't to capture you alive, do you think you'd still be standing there with just a few broken snakes?" Another Jonin, who used Raiton, removed his black mask and spat on the ground, revealing a face with a beard and scars; he too possessed the three-tomoe sharingan.
"Oh, did I confuse you by staying here?" Orochimaru smiled with a slightly labored breath.
Although the numerous snakes here were prepared in advance, controlling them still consumed a considerable amount of chakra.
Three faint rays of red light emerged from the Uchiha chunin's corpse and flowed into Orochimaru's body. He felt that his condition had improved significantly, and the smile on his face grew even wider.
He quickly formed a weird hand seal, and the several giant snakes, which seemed dead against the wall, immediately disintegrated, turning into a large pile of earth that thickly covered the wall and the gate.
Kaze halted and watched with interest as Orochimaru performed this strange ninjutsu, but he was more interested in Orochimaru's intentions.
"Now not only the people around the hospital can't find any movements here, but even those outside won't be able to perceive or enter this underground warehouse!" Orochimaru's eyes were full of bloodthirsty fighting intent.
"Do you understand now? You wanted to catch me, but I want to kill all of you right here!"
