Evangeline sat in the abandoned building, thinking about nothing in particular.

Tears rolled down her eyes as she tried her best to forget about the feeling, the feeling that was gnawing at her heart.

Her own screams from that night as she begged everyone to stop echoed in her head, making her place her hands on her ears to drown the voice.

Her eyes closed instinctively as the memories started to cloud her head. It was brutal. Cold sweat appeared on her forehead as her body started to tremble.

Left with no other choice but to distract herself, she went ahead with the only thing she could.

She fisted her hands so that her nails could dig into her skin and the pain could distract her.

Her breathing had picked its pace and started to calm down and she opened her eyes again, looking around herself to remind her where she was and that no one would dare to harm her again, not in the way it happened all those years ago.
