"You have legit lost your mind, Mr. Alexander," Evangeline glared at him, her red cheeks giving away the shyness and embarrassment she was feeling, and Alexander quirked his brows before leaning back in his seat.

"I can wait, sweetheart," Alexander smiled, licking his bottom lip, and Evangeline's gaze immediately turned down as she felt even more shy about this little action.

Alexander didn't miss the flabbergasted look she gave him and hooked his finger under her chin, forcing her to raise her face to look at him.

"I am serious, Evangeline. You are in my arms, on my lap. I don't have a problem staying in this position.

My work is going as it should be, and I don't have any important meetings either. You tell me, can you afford to stay in this position the entire remaining day? The night?" Alexander asked, and Evangeline clenched her teeth.

"Why are you doing this to me?" Evangeline asked, and Alexander smiled at her.
