Ethan groaned, almost screaming. It felt as if a mountain had just fallen on his abdomen.

They tumbled violently through the underbrush. Gabriel pressed his arm against Ethan's throat and sank his fangs right into the man's neck.

Ethan howled again, writhing with all his might to break free. Blood flowed, soaking the patches of fur ripped from their skin.

His breaths came in ragged gasps, and he stared at Gabriel, who grinned down at him.

"Give up, Ethan," Gabriel purred, his voice laced with triumph. "Submit to me."

Ethan growled defiantly, his eyes burning with determination. "Never."

He hissed, inhaling sharply as he watched his blood trickle down to his legs.
