Chapitre 62: 61. The reunion

"I can't believe there's a detention center on campus," Elliot said as he sat in the tiny room beside Rayne.

They were sitting in a white walled room that contained nothing except two metal tables that were bolted to the floor. There were two metal chairs on either side of the table that were bolted down as well. An armed security officer stood beside the iron door, while another one guarded the outside of the door.

"We're at a school full of hormonal super humans, of course they have a place to detain us," Rayne said. She folded her arms over her chest and leaned back in her seat.

"That makes a lot of sense when you put it that way," Elliot said. He nodded his head in agreement as he spoke.

He looked over at Rayne and noticed the large, purplish bruise on her neck.

"Oh wow, I guess she landed a good shot, huh," he said, gesturing to his own neck when she looked at him.
