Chapitre 2: Chapter 2 Growing up
Even as a child, Draco can feel the ancestral magic flowing in the manor and fells safe. He is accustomed to the many moving portraits and magical things around the manor.
His magical childhood is filled with love. He can even see the ghosts of the Malfoy founder at the top of one tower.
He is surrounded by magical toys and served by house elfs using their household magic. He shall even have his own once he turns five, a young elf called Mitty, currently studying with the older elfs.
He also enjoys his time with his mother in the magical botanical garden, filled with magical and non-magical plants with vast rose flower fields. He adores his mother very much and cheerful laughter fills the house whenever they are together.
Draco spends most of his time in the grounds of the manor with his parents and grandfather, Abraxas Malfoy. He also respects his father very much and strives to be like one in future.
As a part of sacred tradition, a child can be introduced to the public and his peers only after the child turns seven or his/her magical abilities have manifested. Only with the bursts of magic, which confirms the child to be magical, would society consider the child, a rightful heir to his family magic.
As such, the now five-year-old Draco is taught by grandfather. He teaches him about the responsibilities, manners and honors Draco has to uphold as the heir to house Malfoy.
His grandfather is a pure-blood supporter, even if he doesn't have the 'Dark mark'. Even Voldemort himself respected the man, in his prime he was one of the original members of the knights of Walpurgis, which later dissolved after Voldemort graduated from Hogwarts and renamed it as 'death eaters'.
When young Draco visits his grandfather, he would be given small responsibilities like holding the documents his grandfather was working on and shall be rewarded with praise on completion.
However, with the advancement of his age, his grandfather was getting weaker and doesn't spend much time with Draco anymore. Draco would go to his grandfather's office and read up on some journals found there to past time.
One day, while Draco is in his grandfather's office, he is called by his grandfather and tells him about blood superiority, how he should conduct himself with his peers, superior and lesser.
As the heir to the Malfoy House and Black house, Draco is told, what he represented, his upcoming career, future. There is no other pure-blood who is superior to the Malfoy. So, Draco should carry himself as befitting of one.
He was even told about the barbarism of the muggle world, about the blood traitors, pureblood, halfblood and mudbloods. How those who doesn't grow up in the magical world, are weak and do not deserve the magic. He is even shown various photos of how wizards suffered in the past, how muggle treat magic, various war pictures, deaths, Cruels, torchers, mass murders, etc. which left young Draco fearful, afraid, sad and angry.
He was even shown the 'dark mark' and what improper use of dark magic can do to a person. His grandfather finally said "This will be our secret, Draco. You can keep a secret right?" with conviction in his voice which requires no disobedience.

Also, after celebrating his fifth birthday, the house elf, Mitty, is now officially his. Draco treated Mitty nicely, after all she was his only friend in the manor.
She is tasked with his daily hygiene and keeping him safe. He liked the elf very much.
Mitty is very obedient, she will unconditionally obey his every command. Mitty wouldn't tell another soul anything without her owner's permission. She was a loyal, smart, lively and cheerful elf.
At the bonding ceremony, Draco dripped his blood in the magic circle linking him with the elf. With this link, Mitty, within a call, is able to be wherever at Draco's side.
