Chapitre 62: Chapter 62 Gwen
The Next morning Gwendolyn was back at May's office having another discussion but this time about personal and shared assets.
When all details were finished the agreement was ready to be made.
May quickly managed to add all the points they agreed were necessary to the contract.
Gwendolyn was standing next to May looking over her shoulder for any mistakes that May might make on purpose or otherwise, every so often she would correct May's grammar, she wanted this document to be foolproof and no misspelt chicken scratches were going to ruin it.
After ten minutes of arguing if it was grammatically correct to write who rather them whom, the contract was finally finished and now it was ready to be signed.
May quickly went over it again and when Amira found no loopholes she signed it then she pushed the contract towards Gwendolyn waiting for her to finish.
Gwendolyn disapproved at May's swift actions so rather than just skimming it and signing it like someone she knows just did, she read the contract word for word not missing anything she even paid attention to the wording used.
[Later]
Gwendolyn was still reading the contract next to a very bored May.
'she sure took her time'
[Well you did tell her 'take your time']
'I was trying to be nice!'
[Well guess you shot yourself in the foot]
'....'
[What did you expect she would do she doesn't have someone as awesome as me looking after her]
'....'
Ignoring Amira's comments May's focus once again turned towards the blond sitting next to her.
May had to admit she was kinda beautiful with that super focused expression not that she was not beautiful before, she was but there was just something about a person focusing their hardest on their work that made May think 'damn that's hot'.
While May was staring, Gwendolyn was not clueless on what the person next to her was doing but she ignored her and continued to examine the document but as time passed the eyes that were staring at her became more bold and they moved from her face and began to trail over her body.
Gwendolyn was annoyed by this so she took her head out of the paper and turned towards May.
"Do you need something ?"
May was flustered at being caught checking her out but she quickly composed herself.
"I don't need anything but you hurrying up"
"Hmph" Gwendolyn scoffed at May's remark.
"Well if you can't control your eyes and they wander again I would personally make sure they stayed in their place" saying her threat, Gwendolyn went back to her work.
'Damn does she have eyes at the back of her head'
[No this is what men would call a woman's instinct]
'Amira why don't I have a sixth sense like that'
[I said woman's right, not a beast's ?]
'Are you calling me a beast?'
[Ding, Ding]
'How am I beast?'
[I will not waste my time on stupid questions]
'Well, that was ... something.'
With Amira being of no help May wished to test this instinct on her own she once again turned towards Gwendolyn, she watched her face and nothing happened but when she started moving her gaze downwards, she was able to see Gwendolyn getting visibly angrier the further down her gaze was and when May took a glance at her face she was able to see a giant pulsing vein on her forehead.
"It's you !!"
"I remember now!"
Gwendolyn was confused at May's remarks so she took her gaze off the document and faced May.
"What?"
"It's you, from the drake den"
"...?"
"I remember now I forgot your face but I would never forget that giant monstrosity on your forehead"
"On my forehead?" Gwendolyn touched her forehead unsure of what May was talking about, when she felt nothing she turned her gaze once more to May.
"Yea on your forehead but it seems it only becomes visible when you're annoyed or angry and I would never be able to forget that monstrosity I mean it still gives me nightmares to this day ..... oh oh there it is once again "
Gwendolyn turned her head away from May and her nonsense, she did not need any more mockery.
Silence returned once more to the room the only sound being of pages being turned.
When May was prepared for another round of annoying her almost now wife her whole plan came crashing down with the sound of writing.
She turned he head to see Gwendolyn signing the document, when she was done she pushed the document towards May.
May took a look and when Amira saw nothing was wrong she stored the contract in her inventory.
Gwendolyn was momentarily shocked at the display of Spacial Magic but she did not let it show on her face.
When everything was done May turned towards Gwendolyn and pushed three bottles one was Red another Blue and the last was colourless.
Gwendolyn raised an eyebrow at May and her actions.
Seeing her confused May chose to explain.
"The Red one heals you, the blue one restores some of you're mana and the last one is the poison"
"...."
"Come on store them and let's go Darling we have a duke to defeat and a marriage to disclose" May was extremely enthusiastic at the prospect of making that old homophobe have a heart attack
"I still expect you to call me by my name even if we are in public"
"Nop that won't do, end of discussion so let's go"
With the cold eyes burning a hole in her back May had no other option but to compromise.
