My best option would be to search for a cave; it's easily defendable and provides sufficient cover from the elements. I breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that my friend was still there, dormant but still there. When my panic subsided, I refocused on the task at hand, the only task I had some degree of control over.
I started heading northwest towards a rocky area where I hoped to find a cave. I kept my senses sharp scanning the area I was walking through and being alert paid off when I heard a snake hiss. I immediately leaped backward, scanning the ground and trees around my previous location. There, I spotted a small brown snake coiled around a tree, eyeing me. I wanted its venom, but doubts filled my mind - "What if it is a higher level then me ?" or "What if its venom is instantly lethal?" Fear overcame my greed, and I concluded that engaging in a battle with no information about my foe would be foolish.
I kept my eyes on the snake as I retreated, ensuring it was out of sight. Continuing toward the rocky area, I remained on high alert. As I approached my destination, I heard the sound of flowing water. I hastened my pace and arrived at a crystal-clear river flowing from the small hills deeper into the forest. I was very thirsty; all I had to drink on my journey was blood, which was far from pleasant. Right now, nothing was more enticing than drinking my fill, but first, I needed to ensure it was safe. I checked the area, scanned the river for threats, and confirmed it was clear. I scooped water into my hands, but they were still stained with blood, turning the water a deep red. I tried to wash my hands, but the stain persisted.

With a sigh, I resigned to my fate and drank the bloody water. After quenching my thirst, I scooped more water into my inventory, and to my shock, it worked. That was all I needed to know, so I began hoarding water into my inventory.

Once done, I resumed my journey. I was very close to the small hills, so I started circling them, searching for a cave. After 20 minutes of walking, I found one it was a cave hidden by shrubbery but the cave entrance was clear except for one set of tracks leading inside. I activated [Stealth Lv3] and started sneaking to investigate the tracks. The effects of [Stealth Lv3] doubled when I entered the cave, boosting my confidence until I heard it.

The sound of a beast snoring echoed through the cave, and a wicked grin spread across my face. I continued with silent steps until I saw it: a giant sheep, at least 12 feet tall, sleeping on its side. Uncertain about what to do, memories of my earlier encounter with the snake resurfaced. Would I have to retreat again? This time from a giant sheep ? Was i really this helplessly Lost without my partner providing information am i really that useless , doubts gnawed at me, but I shook them off. I needed to focus.
This cave was perfect - well-hidden and near a water source. I couldn't let cowardice hold me back. I allocated all my Status Points into Strength, taking advantage of my inability to see my status panel but still able to assign points. A warm sensation spread from my chest outward, and my sword felt incredibly light. After admiring my newfound strength, I devised a plan of attack. I would go for the brain through the left eye; my sword was long enough to reach.
I got close to its left eye, took a deep breath, and prepared for the thrust of my life. Angling my sword slightly upwards, I pulled it back and thrust with all my might. The blade went in until the hilt, but the sheep roared and began to rise. Terrified but determined, I pushed the sword deeper until the sound of bones breaking echoed ,the blade went deeper and my arm followed the sheep let out a final wimper as a acknowledgement that I won then its body went limp.
I pulled out my bloody weapon and sat next to the bear's lifeless body.
"That was terrifying," I muttered to myself.
