Jason didn't chase after Rachel, he was ready for whatever punishment that came with his actions but he was aware he had one more thing to do after getting rid of the body.

Jason went to the gate and just as he thought, it was opened with little to no questions.

They assumed he wanted to do a patrol outside the wall and offered to help but Jason reassured them that he would be fine.
