Chapitre 156: Kemal’s Price (2)

The priest was left in the hall. Since he came almost two days ago, he has never seen a mansion so empty. All the knights that guarded the premises mysteriously disappeared as soon as Arianell awoke, and he could finally freely leave the house without anyone stopping him.

Kemal felt wronged. It was simply too much to put up such strong surveillance. He already promised to stay until she regained her consciousness but count Einar was just one big paranoic mess. 

"Please wait, Father…"

A voice coming from upstairs stopped him and Kemal almost tripped. Luan was coming down, and two knights behind him carried the big chest.

"Allow me to send you back… And I would like you to take this back with you," the swordmaster pointed at the box filled with gold. It was the blatant flexing of one wealth.

However, Kemal raised his hand and rejected the generous donation.
