Chapitre 90: Rethink Your Answer

Camilla sat slumped on the floor astonished, as she listened to Richard explain what he was doing in her bedchamber late at night. He looked William right in the eye as the lies just rolled of his tongue - as if it were the most natural thing in the world. 

She tried to speak up and protest, only to find herself shouted down by a furious Richard. Camilla found it ironic that she was the one shaking with fear when she was actually telling the truth.

It was no use at all. Not once did William show a flicker of concern for her or ask for her side of the story. He just listened and nodded to the poison Richard poured into his ear.

Camilla felt despair overtake her. William must truly hate me now, she told herself. Why would he ever believe me over his best friend?
