"However, Vice-Captain Alan..." Nami couldn't help but feel curious about the magical abilities displayed by Alan and his book. She asked tentatively, "What's the deal with your book? It can change its size and turn things into gold. Is it magic?"
Before Alan could respond, Luffy proudly chimed in, "That book is Alan's Teigu, a special item with incredible magical abilities. Like the food it conjured earlier, it can store a lot of delicious treats!"
The mention of Teigu and Devil Fruit piqued Nami's interest. She couldn't believe that the legendary Devil Fruit actually existed. To her, they were just tales and myths.
Alan revealed that his ability came from the Paramecia Munch-Munch Fruit, while Luffy showcased his powers as the rubber-powered Paramecia Rubber Fruit user.
Nami was astonished by their abilities and muttered, "It's unbelievable..."
However, as Nami's thoughts drifted, she couldn't help but consider the magical book and the vast amounts of treasure it could produce. She contemplated the idea of stealing it, which would make her unimaginably rich. But the memory of Alan's terrifying power and the fact that he effortlessly eliminated the Marines who pursued him sent a shiver down her spine.
Despite her hesitation, Nami resolved to find an opportunity to try and take the book. If it proved impossible, she would abandon the idea. She reminded herself that she had enough money to buy Cocosia Village from Arlong and escape her current life.
Just as Nami had made up her mind, she lifted her gaze and caught Alan staring at her with penetrating eyes. She was surprised and asked casually, "Deputy Captain Alan, why are you looking at me?"
Alan replied playfully, "Are you thinking about stealing my omnipotent magic book to make a fortune?"
Luffy and Kirby widened their eyes in shock. Luffy, angered by the accusation, confronted Nami, "Nami, how could you think like that?"
Panicking, Nami denied the accusation, waving her hands and saying, "No, you have to believe me. Deputy Captain Alan is so powerful, there's no way I would have the confidence to steal something so precious from him."
Alan smiled and accepted her denial. Luffy, being straightforward, readily believed Nami's words.
"I'm sorry, maybe I misunderstood," Nami quickly responded.
Alan grinned and said, "That's okay. But just so you know, I have complete control over all Teigu. I can issue instructions to them remotely using radio waves."
Before Nami could fully breathe a sigh of relief, Alan delivered a rather unsettling piece of news, speaking in a gentle but alarming tone, "Once I give the order, the Sea Kings, large beasts, and dangerous experiments imprisoned within the omnipotent magic book can be released and wreak havoc... The entire East Blue might not be destroyed, but it's possible that several countries could face dire consequences."
Nami broke out in a cold sweat upon hearing Alan's words. Although she had some doubts about his claims, the possibility of it being true and the potential disaster it could bring to Cocosia Village and the surrounding areas filled her with fear.
