Chapitre 81: Her ghost

As the words dropped out of Storm's lips, a fresh tear fell from Ellie's other eye, causing him to frown. Even though he was standing before her, her eyes continued to dart around in search of the monster.

"Where did it go?" Ellie questioned in a shaking voice.

"Back to where it came from," Storm answered, wiping the fresh tear while he observed her keenly.

"Where is that?" Ellie probed again.

"My imagination." 

"What do you mean by that?" Ellie finally paid attention to him, searching his eyes to see if he was just toying with her. 

But Storm didn't provide an explanation as something else was giving him concern.

"You're shaking." He pointed out, noticing how her hands and body were trembling. "It's just a spider. Why are you shaking?"

"I hate spiders. And that was no fucking spider. That was a monster." Ellie cried out, glaring at him.
