Cardan wore grey trousers and a white button down with a long black coat and white sneakers.

He combed his hair neatly and put his black eye contacts on.

Today was a great day. Boss Dai would be officially buying the land today and he'd be meeting with Wren's father for further negotiations.

So far Wren's father was also the only one who hadn't signed the contract yet. His father had taught him that verbal agreements in business meant nothing in the face of the law.

He left home and went to pick up the contract at Boss Dai's place and was driven to the school gates. Boss Dai left after she dropped him of.

Not a minute later after thirty minutes of waiting a black car came to pick him up. A man got out the door and as soon as he as sure it was Cardan he opened the door for him.

Seating a seat away was Wren. Cardan won't admit it but he'd never been more happier to see her then today.

"Afternoon" Cardan greeted her.

"You mean good afternoon dear peasant" Cardan chuckled a bit.

"What are you nervous?" Wren questioned as she typed quickly on her phone.

"Yes. But I'll be fine" I think...

Wren nodded "You don't have to worry my daddy is the kindest person you'll ever meet just be yourself and you'll be fine" Wren grined at him.

Cardan's shoulders relaxed at her words.He was greatful for her words.

The car stopped after what felt like a thirty minute drive.

Cardan peered through the window and was met with a modern large mansion. The gates opened and they drove past a fountain and the car immediately stopped.

Cardan was the first to open the door. He put his hand out for Wren in order to help her off too.

"As much as I'd love to join you my dear peasant but I must go to the entertainment company I have to familiarise myself with it before joining the dormitory" Wren said and as if noticing her attire he nodded.

He had been too stressed to notice what she had been wearing. Her hair was styled in a wavy fringe cut. She as always was wearing her sparkle pink makeup. A slik pink dress with matching pink heels.

Pink. At this point he was already growing numb to the colour.

He nodded dazed for a second "Here" Wren sighed as she handed him her hot pink scrunchie.

Cardan took it in confusion "Pull at it a bit and all your stress will disperse try it" with her eyes on him he pulled at it and a calming smell filled his senses.

An unoticeable smile appeared on his face

"It seems that it worked now close the door peasant I have places to be" whipping her hair at him he shaved the scrunchie in his coat pocket and closed her door. As soon as he did the car began driving away.

The scrunchie still in his hand he suddenly remembered that he still had her pink jacket in his house. With out even thinking he brought the smell to his nose.

It was sweet yet calming, addicting too. He'd have to ask her what perfume she used.

It' d probably help him deal with his anxiety though he hadn't had one since he brought her jacket to his room. It was definitely the perform.

Putting it back in his pocket he knocked on the door.

The door was immediately opened by a maid who guided him to David's office.

Cardan was lucky he wasn't seen smelling her scrunchie or his deal wouldn't even be considered.

As soon as Cardan met David he couldn't help but feel a powerful aura coming from him fortunately thanks to spending a lot of time in his father and uncle's presence it didn't scare him much.

"Take a seat" the man's deep gruff voice sounded.

Cardan nodded as he thanked the man.

And before he knew it they both began discussing his first business venture. The talk went for hours and it was surprisingly good.

David found himself liking the boy much to his dislike. What made him even more angry was that this boy did not only have looks but brain too.

Cardan handed him the contract to sign David read over it again "There seems to not be an issue but the contract has a few holes you'll have to fix" as David said that he began pointing them out as Cardan listened seriously so that he would never make the same mistake again.

David liked that about him he was willing to learn and he disliked that he liked him.

"I understand sir I'll draft a new one this time with less holes" David nodded as he prepared to sign he had already 'fixed' the contract with his pen.

"But before I sign do you have any special feelings for my daughter" David said out of nowhere which caused Cardan to blink in surprise.

After catching himself he answered "I do not sir. She is more so my 'emplyor' and I'm already in love with someone else" Cardan finished.

David nodded in satisfaction" Good, good" he said as he signed the document.

"Wait for a few more hours my assistant will create a few more copies" David said as Cardan reached for the contract.

David's assistant entered not a few minutes later.

"Do you know how to play chess son" David said as he no longer felt threatened by the boy stealing his daughter away. And based on the sincerity when he told me he was in love with someone else. After all he liked the boy and decided to take him as his student.

Cardan was surprised at the change of address but nevertheless he didn't hate it "Yes sir I do" Cardan replied his father had taught him along with his other uncle's.

He had never won against them but he was close to doing it unlike Kevin who keeps on defeating his father on occasion.

David took out a chess box and put it on a table "Now let's start and call me uncle."

A bright smile made a way to Cardan's face, he not only brought any investor who taught him but he also made a new uncle. Was it the scrunchie it definitely was.

When he sees Wren again he'll start doing whatever she asks no questions "Yes uncle Tan"
