The class president indignantly said, "Madam Rome, you were the one who slandered Miss Evans as a mistress and forced the principal to fire her. Now that the misunderstanding has been cleared up, Miss Evans didn't make things difficult for you, yet you're unwilling to apologize?"
The students couldn't bear it any longer and began to raise their voices. Principal Hayek's tone was unhappy, "Madam Rome, you were in the wrong. If you stubbornly refuse to apologize, it could have adverse effects on the Rome family, as well as on Larry Rome."
Xaviera Evans' eyes flashed with impatience. Then, she stared intently at Madam Rome, her eyes tinged with a hint of red. Suddenly, Madam Rome's body stiffened, and she lost consciousness momentarily. Her brain seemed to numb, and the words in her heart surged out like a flood. She yelled hoarsely, "Principal Hayek, if you had fired Xaviera Evans as I said, none of this would've happened! And now you want me to apologize to her? Dream on!"
