At the bow of the ship, a colossal skull sculpture wearing a crown quickly took shape.
These consecutive changes left Carnes, the captain, dumbfounded, with a head full of question marks.

It was similar to Whitebeard for Edward Newgate or Red Hair for Shanks.
As for the origin of this nickname, it traced back to the conquest of a kingdom's capital by the Rocks Pirates over forty years ago. At that time, Carnes led a group of Rocks Pirates to directly break through the palace guards and stood before the king in the main hall.
