"What's in the forest?"
Illumi was holding the sand in his hands, gazing blankly at Irumi.
"Ants, bees, bears, snakes, many things," Irumi replied, playing with the toy car in his hand and tossing it into the sand, quite bored of the thing.
"Did you encounter them?" Illumi picked up the toy car he had thrown, filled the compartment with sand, then looked back at Irumi and asked.
"No," his answer made Illumi furrow his brow, puzzled.
"If you didn't encounter them, how do you know there are those things in the forest?" Illumi questioned, looking at Irumi.
Irumi didn't reply. Instead, he sat down on the sandy ground and looked at Illumi.
"Illumi, three days from now, we will start our training," Irumi said.
"Are you ready?"
"Mm, of course," Illumi nodded nonchalantly, asking him in return.
"What about you?"
Irumi shrugged, showing indifference.
"I am ready too."
Since coming to this world and learning that he is a member of the Zoldyck Family, he has always been mentally prepared for this.
"Enough playing, let's go back," Irumi stood up and dusted off the sand from his pants, looking at the maid who had been responsible for supervising them.
"Take us back, Delica."
"Right away, Young Master Irumi."
The curly-haired maid immediately hurried forward, taking Illumi's hand and following closely behind Irumi, heading towards the mansion of the Zoldyck Family.
Illumi still greatly relies on someone to care for him, but Irumi never allows anyone to hold his hand. Walking from the amusement park to the Zoldyck Family's mansion took about ten minutes.
"Young Master Irumi, Young Master Illumi,"
"Welcome home."
The one who opened the door was Tsubone, bowing slightly to the two and smiling as he welcomed them inside.
Irumi walked in front, and Illumi, holding the maid's hand, stepped through the doorway a step behind.
"Hmm?"
After entering the door, Irumi noticed a young boy standing behind Tsubone. The boy wore glasses, had a cold expression, and was dressed in a tailcoat without diverting his gaze.
"This is the new butler," Tsubone introduced him to Irumi, noticing his attention on the boy behind her.
"Hello, Young Master Irumi."
The boy respectfully bowed to Irumi, his movements precise.
"I am the new apprentice butler, Gotoh."
Irumi looked at the familiar face and confirmed that he was indeed Gotoh, the one who Hisoka would kill in the future.
Without saying a word, Irumi nodded and passed by the two, walking towards the corridor in the foyer, with Illumi following closely behind.
"What do you think of the two young masters?" Tsubone stood at the doorway, looking at the two small figures and calmly asked.
"Young Master Irumi is very determined and composed," Gotoh replied, his gaze straight ahead, giving an honest answer.
"As for Young Master Illumi, he seems somewhat expressionless. I don't know much else about him."
Tsubone took off her monocle, wiped it with a handkerchief, and put it back on, smiling.
"Young Master Irumi is exceptionally talented, and everyone likes him."
"If his bloodline were a little better, I think I would like him even more," Gotoh said with a blank expression, not in a position to judge Tsubone's personal preferences.
"Irumi, what will you do later?"
In the corridor, Illumi ran to catch up with Irumi, walking beside him.
"I'm going to meditate in my room. You can find something fun to do on your own," Irumi glanced at him helplessly. Three-year-old Illumi, like any other ordinary child, is very playful.
"Oh."
Illumi responded absentmindedly, continuing to walk alongside Irumi with an indifferent expression.
When they reached the end of the corridor, the door to their room creaked open, and both Irumi and Illumi entered together.
The room had two beds, one for Irumi and one for Illumi. The difference was that Illumi's bed was filled with various toys, while Irumi's bed had nothing except for a blanket and a pillow. Upon entering the room, Illumi took off his shoes, climbed onto his bed, crossed his legs, and placed his palms upward, entering a meditative state. Meanwhile, Irumi climbed onto his own bed and played with his toys, occasionally making a "clattering" sound as a toy fell to the floor.
Irumi often engaged in meditation. He knew that while developing Nen's abilities in the Hunter world is related to aptitude and bloodlines, one's mental state also plays a crucial role. Meditation allowed Irumi to experience some of the wonders of this world. For example, he could sense a peculiar aura emanating from Illumi, which felt like emotions mixed with some form of energy.
Irumi was aware of the awakening and training methods for Nen abilities. He was also curious about his own Nen aptitude and the speed at which his abilities would awaken, which indicates Nen aptitude.
Of course, this alone couldn't determine a person's ultimate path. Based on the original work, apart from the Zodiacs and other Nen users who mastered the En technique, the fastest awakening speed belonged to the Fourth Prince of the Kakin Empire, Tserriednich Hui Guo Rou.
From understanding the concept of Nen to sensing the energy of aura, the time it took for Irumi was only a short ten seconds. For an ordinary person to sense aura, it might take several days, depending on their aptitude.
There was no doubt that he was an unparalleled genius among geniuses. His aptitude might even reach the level of the main protagonist, Gon, and Killua.
However, this was only a possibility. After all, Gon and Killua's awakening was forced open by Wing and Zushi, and it wasn't a natural self-cultivation awakening. Moreover, before Tserriednich awakened, he had been somewhat influenced by that strange ceremony involving the Nen egg.
*Knock, knock, knock...*
A knocking sound came from the door, interrupting Illumi's toy game. Illumi stopped and turned to the door, asking, "What's the matter?"
"Master Illumi, it's already dinner time," the butler's voice came from outside the door. Irumi opened his eyes, gazed outside the window, and noticed the sun had already set.
"I lost track of time," he murmured.
Irumi got up from his bed, walked towards the door, and the butler was waiting outside.
The two little boys walked side by side, with the butler following closely behind, and they arrived at the dining room. Their father, Silva Zoldyck, sat at the head of the table, and their grandfather, Zeno Zoldyck, was also present.
"Illumi, Irumi, come and sit down!" their mother, Kikyo Zoldyck, lightly commanded as she motioned for them to take their seats.
Illumi obediently walked over and sat beside Kikyo while Irumi, expressionless, walked toward his grandfather, Zeno.
"Evening," Irumi said, lightly placing his hand on the chair before sitting next to Zeno.
