Inside the living room. Yamato was surrounded by 4 women. Their arms crossed as they watch him fidget in embarassment. Yamato scratched his cheeks, "So uhh... Where do I even start?" He said as he ruminated. Momoyo on the other hand shrugged her shoulders, "From the beginning obviously."
Yamato rubbed his chin, "Is it alright if I tell them about a few things?" He thought to himself as another pop up appeared in front of him.
[It was never my intention to hide myself. Besides they might know more than they show on the surface. Reliable allies are what you need the most if you fully intent to stop those who threaten your peace.]
Yamato furrowed his brows, "But I don't want them to get involved."
[A foolish notion, they are stronger than most. More importantly thier ond to you is nothing to scoff at.]
"Oiiii! Yamato! Are you there? If you don't answer within 10 seconds I'll put you in an indian headlock." Momoyo said with a menacing grin. "Wait! before I tell you, mind telling me how you guys got close with Mayuzumi-san?" He asked them.
Miyako answered, "Oh! We just like her personality and think she's interesting. Right, Mayucchi?" Yukie vigorously nodded her head. "I'm greatful to have such caring friends." She said, while matsukaze on the other hand chimed in.
"Yamatoboy, peeking at a woman's secret isn't a good habit y'know."
Yamato blankly stared at the cellpone strap. "The strap talked!? what the hell!? Is this ventroloquism!?" Matsukaze chuckled, "Heh heh heh, A strap? You idiot! I'm a tsukomogami y'know? I'm a strong god that blessed mayucchi with friends."
Yamato chuckled at Matsukaze's words. "Mayuzumi-san is a pretty interesting gal. No wonder you guys like her." He said making Yukie blush. "Thank you Naoe-senpai!" She said with reddened cheeks.
Miyako nodded her head, "We're even considering adding her to the family." She said making both Kazuko and Momoyo nod their heads. "Thank you very much!!" Yukie beamed a smile, while matsukaze cheered.
"WAI! WAI! BANZAI! Mayucchi its your popular phase." Yukie twirled Matsukaze in celebration. Everyone stared at her with an endearing smile. "Oooohh! Even Miyako's approved of you. Not bad Mayucchi! Can I call you that?" He asked her with a smile.
She vigorously nodded her head, "I don't even mind if you call me by my first name!" Yamato widened his eyes at her words and nodded his head, "Got it, Yukie. You can call me Yamato as well." He said making the girl smile albiet with slightly reddened cheeks.
"So to get back on topic, why are you training all of a sudden. If your answer does not satisfy me I'll drag you to the mountains and beat you up." Momoyo said as she crossed her arms. Yamato backed in a corner, could only sigh in resignation.
"Are you guys aware of the term Akashic Records?" He said as he stared at them seriously. Kazuko, Momoyo, and Yukie tilted their heads, "The tree?" Kazuko said while scratching her head.
"Nononono... that's Acacia." Miyako said with a sigh. "Seriously, Wanko. You need to study more." Miyako continued. "Geh!" Kazuko yelped in nervousness.
"Anyways, the Akashic Records are a compendium of all universal events, thoughts, words, emotions and intent ever to have occurred in the past, present, or future in terms of all entities and life forms, not just human. Basically the multiverse's story compiled in an infinitle library." He said in one breath.
"I see..." Miyako said softly, "So? What's this got to do with you training?" She said as she narrowed her eyes.
"I was chosen to be it's arbiter." Yamato said making them all grin at him teasingly. "So you're training 'cause you got chosen huh?" Momoyo said as she giggled. "Did you relapse?" Yamato slammed his palms on the table in protest.
"What do you mean relapse! I'm not a chuuni okay!? I'm done with that phase!" He sat back down and sighed. He ruminated how to prove it to them. He clapped his hands, "That's it!" He then snapped his fingers, "Arachnid!"
Several chains dropped down from his palms as they slammed heavily on the concrete floor creating a metallic thud. Everyone was slackjawed at this. "I'm training because the arbiter doesn't only mean I have access to it. It also means defending it."
Momoyo furrowed her brows, "So? Why'd you accept? The Yamato I know wouldn't just accept some thing so risky." Yamato sighed, "I wouldn't have. Rather I was compelled to just ignore it. You remember the earthquake a few days ago?"
He asked them but they tilted their heads, "What are you talking about?" They all said in unison.
[Have you forgotten the pink mist Naoe Yamato?]
Yamato slapped his head, "Ah damn! I forgot about that. Do you remember this morning when those Kuki maids approached us? They warned us about an enemy invading Kawakami?" He said as he stared at them.
"They caused an earthquake as they invaded this place. I don't know for sure what happened, but I know for sure that those invaders are hostile to our world." Miyako frowned, "You're telling me that those invaders came from somewhere beyond our world? Are they aliens?" She asked him.
"I'm not sure. I never met them. But they are probably some existence beyond our universe or dimensions. I don't know their goal nor their aim." He sighed as he leaned back on his seat.
Yukie shook her head, "But Yamato-san, no offense but you taking them alone is plain suicide." Yamato nodded at her words, "Well, who said I'm alone. A.R. here gathered allies from quite possibly another dimensions."
"What exactly are you fighting?" Miyako said worriedly. Then all of a sudden a mechanical voice resounded from their ears.
[Allow me to explain.]
[To put it bluntly, their aim is to absorb a worlds energy. A special world like your's is a resource they are coveting. You see this world is unlike other parallel worlds like this. It has no branching timelines, only a singular straight line. If harvested it would give them energy to break through the barrier protecting the Akashic Records itself.]
The girls looked at one another and nodded their heads, "This could be the same A.R. that sent us that mail." Yamato tilted his head at their whispering.
