The situation after going through the portal has become really dangerous. The yellow "griffin" showed signs of panic as soon as the portal appeared in front of its route, accompanied by a rather strange and terrifying howl coming straight from the throat of the magical creature.
"Griffin" after passing through the portal, with quite high speed, did not stop despite reaching the destination. However, the animal seemed to fall into a frenzy and a complete state of panic. The portal closed, but the animal continued to run around the available area, howling frightfully and continued to pull the carriage on which his driver and new master were still sitting.

From the fact that the animal was getting closer and closer to the edge of the "island" with each lap. Krystian was not only afraid that sleeping with the creature, but also falling at such a speed could result in serious injury or even death if he fell in the wrong way. Krystian decided to take a radical and risky way to remedy this ill-considered situation.
So, full of panic, he pulled out the dagger he had received as a "gift" from the old woman. And he slowly drew the crossguard with one hand to force the animal to make a sudden left turn and drive it and the carriage to the center of the "island". With the other hand, Krystian clutched the dagger and waited for the animal to be in the right place. To pull the crossguard at the right moment so that the entire head of the "griffin" was within its range of attack. And when this happened, Krystian made a deep cut on the animal's neck. by the name of emergency braking, but by the time the vehicle came to a stop near the center of the hard space, it was dead.
Now, full of mixed emotions and fatigue, Krystian lumbered down from the carriage and simply lay flat on a flat surface and lay there for a long time.

When Krystian entered the carriage, he had a memory of the moment when he received a magic book as a reward from Gargamel. And with that thought he immediately turned his gaze to the shelf containing the books, and after a quick scan of the titles of all the volumes, he exclaimed in disgust.

And that said in itself that the woman must have used it recently. The book was titled "101 Dishes by Filipa Einhert." But that wasn't what interested Krystian as much as the warning on the cover.

Curious about the book, Krystian sat by the trailer exit, his legs dangling from the back of the carriage. The carriage itself had big tires and, he found, a sturdy suspension. And if it weren't for the raised stairs, Krystian doubted that the Old Woman would have been able to get inside.
This book contained quite a lot of different recipes. But as it turned out moments later, this book contained many dishes that an ordinary person would call morally unethical. Like Fairy soup or an omelette of these intelligent little creatures. Even the book said how to make the fairies unable to call the colony for help.
For now, Krystian was not interested in such an exotic cuisine. And his attention was drawn to a section at the end of the book devoted to the spell used to prepare each dish in the book.
And the amount of useful spells was really huge. And even the simplest, like a cutting spell. Used for cutting vegetables or animal parts. Interestingly, the book took into account the fact that cutting through bones requires the use of more power and strong aggressive feelings. Really interesting, but the amount of spells in this book was much bigger and more interesting. There were spells that drained poison and even drained magical power and crystallized it into small stones. The annotation to this spell led to a dozen or so dishes in which the main ingredient was a creature whose magical power has a strong affinity with, for example, holy magic. And from the fact that meat with such a property is not recommended for those who specialize in the darker aspects of magic. This spell allowed the removal of the harmful part of the meat.
Krystian was genuinely fascinated by the book and took to heart the task of mastering these spells and trying to use them for purposes other than those intended in the book. Although if he wants to cook a meal, these spells will also be very useful to him.
After reviewing a few more spells and some interesting recipes that had some more interesting magical creatures as an ingredient. Krystian decided to first cover the corpse of "Griffin" so as not to dirty the new pants, he wiped them off and left them on the carriage. Then he took a dagger and cut off parts of the creature's body, such as claws, head, most of the feathers. However, the body itself did not know how to cut it so as not to He found a core in the Griffin's chest right next to the heart, a small stone resembling a round red ruby overgrown with a thin layer of black stone that was slightly translucent in color.
From the fact that Krystian performed this activity close to the edge of the "island". After finishing work, not wanting to pollute the air, he simply threw the rest of the creature's body outside the "island". And for a moment he watched as Griffin's body collapsed and after a while the body was the size of his thumb. Griffin's body began to glow with light and disappeared accompanied by a peculiar strange sound.
Then Krystian unpacked all the alcohol bottles from one of the crates. And he simply left the bottles in place of the box, but without any wooden protection. In order to then hide all the bloody elements in this chest, i.e. everything except the feathers and the core and seal it closed and put the chests at the edge of the island. Fortunately, there was no wind here, so the stench, even if the uprising does not reach his current carriage stop, nor the portal and computer.
Later, after washing himself in a barrel of water, a really small one, which he had previously thought was a kind of chair. However, due to the weight of the small barrel, he looked inside and found water.
As for the wardrobe, the only set that suited Krystian's tastes was a Victorian-style leather coat, shirt, waistcoat and elegant shoes. Unfortunately there was only one pair. The woman had previously had a trick of different styles of clothing. and she only had a few women's clothes in stock. Which rather said that mainly women used her services.
